Some time later the bus finally stops, which prompts the students, including me, to get up and exit the bus.
I look around to find a few familiar faces, Uraraka is attempting to calm her nerves. Aoyama is nearby posing for the crowd, who look at him strangely. While Iida scans the crowd with a serious expression on his face.
I also notice more than a few looks in my direction, but when I catch them, they quickly turn their heads and act like they weren't.
What the heck? I ask myself, they almost seem... wary of me….
"Right, let's start!" we hear from above, causing the students to look up at a tower near us. Well that's the signal I guess, for now let's start at 10%. Red markings flow up my body until they reach my head, before they vanish leaving green lightning crackling off my body.
"Get moving, there are no countdowns in real battles!" he continues yelling out before motioning with his arm "Run, run, run listeners. Your wasting air time here!"
Sometime In the middle of him saying that, I take off through the gate running at 10% leaving the majority of the students in the dust. As I get to a safe distance away, I crank up the power to 30% causing gusts of wind to appear with each step.
Let's try something different here, I think while jumping to the side of one of the buildings. I jump off the buildings continuously until I reach a good vantage point. Looking out, I see quite a few 2 and 3 pointers off to my right.
Well, I guess that's my first destination, I think before jumping to the side of a building in that direction.
Bouncing off the buildings, I fly through the air towards the faux villains. As I get near they notice me and say "Target acquired…. Commencing Attack" before rushing towards me.
I land on the ground before jumping to the side of one of them. As I land I grab a hold of a 2-pointer and swing it as hard as I can at one of the other 2-pointers.
The two of them collide and issue a "Boom" before collapsing on the ground. One of the 3-pointers blow me up, but I send a fierce punch in its direction, causing the missiles to blow up in its face.
Only 3 left, I think to myself before engaging the others. After dispatching the rest of the faux villains, I'm up to 14 points already and its barely been a minute so far.
Without wasting time, I jump from building to building to find yet another vantage point. Along the way I dispatch a few 1-pointers bringing my score up to 18.
I continue spotting targets and jumping off the buildings to get to them over the next few minutes. The result of this, is the addition of another 58 points, that i've managed to gather up.
That's just below Kacchan's score in the practical exam, I think to myself before a quake interrupts my thoughts.
I turn to find a large cloud of dust and debris forming around a large figure. That must be the 0-pointer, I think to myself while running towards it.
Instead of jumping from the ground, I decide to jump up to the top of the buildings to get a better spot to attack from.
As I come near it I hear "Oww!" coming from somewhere near the ground. Crap…. That sounds like Uraraka, I didn't make it in time. I jump off the building in her direction as fast as possible.
When I reach her, I stop to move the debris off her legs before asking "Can you walk?"
She shakes her head no and I look up to see the 0-pointer punching in out direction. We don't have much time, so I pick her up in a princess carry and then jump away avoiding the punch.
"2 minutes remaining" I hear from off in the distance.
I jump a few more times making sure to put some distance between us. I set Uraraka, who looks like she is running a fever, down before asking "Hey Uraraka, can you use your Quirk on me?"
"I can, but why?" she asks.
"Because I'm about to do something really reckless" I answer staring at her seriously. I have to use 100% here, I won't let anyone else get hurt, because of that thing.
She looks at me and struggles a bit before touching my arm, which causes me to feel weightless.
"Thanks" I say to her, before jumping towards the side of a building. Wow, I think to myself noticing the increases speed at which I'm traveling.
It's so fast I have to punch out just before reaching the building, just to not crash through it. I rocket from building to building until I'm close to the 0-pointer. I have to find a way to get its attention, I think to myself.
I look around the side of the building and notice a shattered window. Going inside, it leads to an office with a desk. I grab the desk and drag it to the window before throwing it at the huge robot.
The desk almost explodes upon contact with the 0-pointer, but serves its purpose. The robot turns towards me and throws a punch right at the building i'm in.
I jump off the building and rush through the air at it. Charging up a 100% smash, I fly right past the fist. Right before I collide with its head, I unleash a fierce Smash. As it connects its sent tumbling backwards and explosions come from up and down the 0-pointer.
I feel immense pain shooting through my right arm, but I have to focus. I have to get safely to the ground, Uraraka can't keep me floating forever. I send a punch in the opposite direction of where I left Uraraka.
I rocket through the air and send a few more punches and kicks to control my direction somewhat. Alas it doesn't help much as I'm heading straight towards the ground. I prepare a punch to negate my speed.
When I get close to the ground I manage to throw a punch and it collides with the ground, but softens the blow. I end up tumbling over and landing on my back with my left arm hurting, but not nearly as bad as my right.
"And that's that. Time's up!" Present Mic yells out.
I close my eyes and grit my teeth due to the pain, but something else draws my attention. I hear the sound of someone running, which causes me to look in the sound's direction.
I see Uraraka running toward me with concern on her face. As she reaches me she drops down to lean over me and asks "Midoriya, are you okay?"
"Uraraka, I'll be fine. Recovery Girl should be coming around to heal everyone that got hurt" I say while gritting my teeth.
"Alright…" she says.
Some of the other students gather around and yell out "Dude that was amazing." "You took out the monster of a robot with one punch." "Is it a reinforcement type Quirk?"
This goes on for a while before we hear "Very nice, good work all around."
I look up behind me and see recovery girl walking towards us.
"You're heroes in my eyes, every one of you."
"That Mademoiselle. She's the heart of U.A." I hear Aoyama saying.
"Oh my goodness" she says before standing over me while looking down" Young Midoriya. What did I tell you about being reckless?"
"I couldn't just let that thing rampage and hurt anyone else" I say while looking over at Uraraka.
"Well, let's get you healed up first. Give me some sugar" she says while kissing my forehead.
"Umm, what's she doing?" someone asks.
"Your watching a school nurse in action" Aoyama explains "The youthful heroine, Recovery Girl."
I feel my bones and muscles heal while he continues explaining "Her Quirk is a tre-awesome boost of healing power. She's the only reason U.A. can hold this reckless exams, look she's saving him months of recovery time."
I clench both of my fists before pushing off the ground to get up. I roll my shoulders and make sure I'm fully healed before turning to Recovery girl. "Thanks."
"It's alright, just don't make a habit of this" she says before asking "anyone else injured?"
After making sure everyone was fine, we were directed back to the bus and told to head home for the day.
