As Shane's words rang out, Iris couldn't help feeling a jolt in her heart.
It was inevitable.
Shane's tone was so natural, so fitting, as if it was an absolute given, it sent a shiver through her.
But Iris still wanted to say,
"Don't... don't go...!"
Iris seemed to clutch Shane unconsciously, her face paling as if she was still struggling against the corruption of Evil Energy, shaking her head furiously.
"That's the Strongest Evil God! An existence that can match a Demon! You'll die...!"
Iris cried out to Shane.

"Don't worry," Shane said again in that natural tone. "I have already died once."
Iris was instantly stunned.
Shane took this opportunity to loosen the grip Iris had on him.
"Maybe I won't win, but I likely won't die—you can ease your mind," Shane told Iris. "Your condition is worse than mine; think about what you should do first."
