Lennox slightly grinned looking at Riley face. He stood up from the table placing down his drink. "All right, I can see that there is a awkward atmosphere now. I was just asking you to figure you out, but I still have to know so please tell me," He leaned forward his face staring at her eyes. Riley casually laughed pushing his face away from hers.
"Your breathe smells."
Lennox laughed grabbing Riley wrist then pulling her close. "I really want to know you, you seem to be a fun person to know. You can try to intimidate me how ever you like but it won't work on me." He stated deeply into her eyes grabbing both her wrists. Riley turned her face ignoring Lennox stare.
"I would love if you look at me. Have no one told you that you have beautiful eyes."
Riley face flushed slowly turning back her face towards Lennox direction. She felt a strange feeling that she had never felt before; He cheeks were turning red and her heart was skipping a beat. The firm expression on her face slowly disappear, replacing it with a gentle smile.
"You should let me go now."
"Why should I, I enjoy holding you like this don't you too? I need to tell you something I've never met anyone like you before. Looking at your eyes they tell a lot of stories."
Riley firmly glared at him her eyes turned demonic blue, and a surge of aura blew forth from her leaving Lennox to let go of her wrists. She stood up from the chair coldly glaring up. The air around them turn cold with a ominous chill surrounding them. Lennox immediately recalled the first time he felt the same pressure he was feeling then, it was when Riley almost killed Ryan her mood was the same.
Even with Lennox strength he did not see himself winning against Riley. From his first meeting of her and the fight with Ryan also, she was not someone to mess with. If Ryan did not convince her from the start to fight on their side she was going to be a problem for any cyclopes. Riley speed and skills showing against Ryan were even fast for any cyclops to see; Even with one eye cyclops vision was far surpassing any other races alive.
Lennox opened his mouth stuttering to form words to speak out sound. He gaze fell down feeling the pressure to respond. Riley firmly looked at him waiting for him to speak. He stuttered back walking back towards the couch.
Riley walked up in front of him, saying "I need you to say something like you did. I told you to let me go, where's your confident now?"
"I should go now," Lennox murmured his words. He turned his back walking towards the door.
Opening the door Ryan rushed inside the room pausing Lennox from walking out. Seeing the worried expression on his face Riley walked up at him. Lennox closed the door behind and walked towards Ryan.
"What's wrong, did something happen outside?"
"What, did those council find out were working against them, huh?"
Both Riley and Lennox flood questions at Ryan side. Ryan back himself away resuming his posture. He paused for a moment sensing something through the air. He sniffed the his nose through the air as a ominous aura was following around the room.
He abruptly stared at the two in front of him wondering what happened when he was go. "What happened here?"
Both Riley and Lennox stood frozen from his sudden question both looking at each other awkwardly. Riley turned her face away no giving a answer to him. And Lennox lowered his gaze avoiding the question also.
"You can both try to ignore my question, but I'm still going to get my answer there. So I ask you two again, what happened here when I was gone?" Ryan asked with a stein voice. "Look at me Riley and tell me truth right now. I can sense that this is your aura filling the room."
"Okay, he was smooth talking so I got mad," Riley replied.
Ryan raised his brows thinking how brave Lennox was to do it. "Oh, I see. Good you didn't kill the chief right!" A slight laughed appeared from Riley after Ryan comment. She snorted her face colly glaring at Lennox direction.
"So what happened outside there?"
Ryan relied his information about a new present he felt early ago. The mention of a new present did not move Riley at all. Lennox was shocked by his words. Seeing Riley firm expression Ryan knew why she was not shaken by the news.
She turned her back placing her index finger to her chin. Thoughts started forming inside his head leaving both Ryan and Lennox puzzled. Lennox gabbed her shoulder with Ryan warning him not. She gave him a stein look removing his hand from her shoulder.
"Did you know this would happen, or am I wrong?" Ryan asked. Riley slightly shifted her gaze looking towards him. She nodded her head answering him.
"What, you knew this might happening!?"
"Shut up! I knew about the assassins."
Lennox widened his eyes hearing the word assassin. "What do you mean assassins? Why would assassins being here?"
Riley turned her look facing Ryan saying, "There here to kill the strongest adventurer." Ryan faintly smiled thinking about the signed killers there for him.
Lennox nervously thought why he was not shaken by the fact that people were coming to kill him. Those people in front of him were incredibly insane people. Death was knocking at his door but he was not bother by it.
"The problem is I don't know how many of them there are, but I'm sure it won't too much problem for you. Probably there might be a 50 to more of them. They might have arriving after us." Riley sighed her mouth looking upwards. She started the laugh at the thought of a challenge from the assassins on the island.
"I know he is the strongest adventurer alive, but killing him wouldn't benefit them in securing the place. I'm the chief after all killing me could benefit them more than trying to murder some adventurer." Lennox said with serious expression questioning if really the assassins were sent after Ryan; Ryan is the strongest adventurer in the world but his importance should never been greater than Lennox, because Lennox was like the king of the Polyphemus island and Ryan was like a warrior compared to him.
Riley gave a gently laugh swept her eye towards the side while returning them back at Lennox. "You're right, you are the chief here, but I'm sorry to say your importance is lesser compared to the strongest person in entire world. You might have use to them but as a small pawn compared to him there," She lifted up her index finger pointing it at Ryan side. Lennox face frowned hearing the harsh truth, he was a small pawn for in the play of theirs.
