Jake bit into the strange, squirming food and the moment he did, the piece wriggled in his mouth. His eyes widened in shock as a rich, explosive flavor burst across his tongue.
"Delicious!" Jake exclaimed, immediately taking a bigger bite. "This shit is amazing," he muttered between mouthfuls, chomping away without pause.
"Hehe, I'm glad you liked it, Master," Elza giggled, looking proud.
But before Jake could devour more, Anne and Hayes swooped in like vultures, snatching Elza's dish away and replacing it with their own creation.
In front of him now was a pudding-like mound of mashed something, giving off a strong, pungent smell.
"Our turn!" They chimed together.
Jake, being the brave soul he was, picked up a spoon, scooped a portion, and shoved it into his mouth despite the warning signals his nose was sending but Elza's food gave him the impression that he shouldn't judge merely from the appearance.
The moment the food hit his tongue, his face turned as pale as snow.
