Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 He Does Not Need Surgery

They were afraid they might accidentally ignite the two barrels of explosives again.

But, you have to admit, this female doctor was damn amazing!

At least, no one had ever seen someone dare to point at Captain Jiang's nose and yell like that, and the most surprising thing was Captain Jiang actually obediently listened.

No way! No way! No way!

It's just unbelievable!

...

Over in the orthopedic ward, the room had already been prepared in advance, and Jiang Ye and his team member stayed in a room together.

Lu Jing maintained a businesslike demeanor throughout, making it impossible for anyone to see through anything.

"Doctor Lu, does my Captain Jiang need surgery?" a team member asked.

Lu Jing shook his head, not even looking up, flipping through the previous scans:

"He doesn't need surgery, we will set it in a while, apply a cast, and then he'll be admitted for a few days for IV antibiotics to reduce inflammation and swelling. What's with the wound on his back?"

"He accidentally got a cut from a nail at the fireground, about 7cm long."

"A nail?"

"Yes, that's right."

Only then did Lu Jing put away the scans and other examination reports, walked to the bedside, and looked at the team member closest:

"Please lift his shirt, I need to check his wound."

"Oh oh oh, okay, Doctor Lu."

The team member was a bit timid, not daring to directly touch:

"Captain Jiang, Doctor Lu said...."

The man squinted:

"What are you still dawdling for?"

"Ah? Oh oh oh, okay."

The team member's hands trembled a bit, finally lifting the shirt.

Upon seeing the wound, Lu Jing couldn't help but take a sharp breath.

Generally, wounds deeper than 2MM need to be stitched because deeper or longer wounds might slightly open with body movement.

If the wound is not stitched and is a bit deep, it might repeatedly bleed, and the healing time would be longer, forming a longer scar.

The cut on someone's back, by visual inspection, seemed at least 3MM deep, very deep.

The entire back was a bloody mess, and since it was cut by a nail, the wound already showed signs of infection.

"We need to debride it, then stitch it, and give him a tetanus shot afterward."

"Yes, Doctor Lu."

Lu Jing nodded:

"Before applying the cast, keep icing it, and monitor the situation anytime."

"Alright, okay." The nurse nodded repeatedly.

Lu Jing then turned to Dr. Yu:

"He's all yours,"

"Okay, Mr. Lu, no worries." Dr. Yu said, then immediately left the ward to prepare materials in the casting room.

In the ward, Lu Jing was just about to turn and check on the patient in the next bed when a soft voice sounded from behind:

"Doctor Lu, aren't I your patient?"

Lu Jing paused, clearly hearing the questioning tone in the man's words.

Actually, Jiang Ye suddenly got angry and fussed in the emergency room earlier for this reason.

It was... quite speechless.

He shifted his gaze back onto someone:

"The hospital has clear regulations to open a green channel for emergencies and serious cases. Your team member's injuries were much more severe than yours and needed an immediate operation, so I handed you over to my colleague. You don't have to worry, Dr. Yu is highly skilled and will handle your issue effortlessly."

Was that what he meant?

But the reason the woman gave seemed unassailable.

Lu Jing didn't intend to waste more words, but the firefighter in the next bed quickly said:

"I'm fine, this little injury doesn't count as anything, Doctor Lu, why don't you treat Captain Jiang first, I can hold on!"
