"Brilliant, truly a marvelous idea..." Dennis said excitedly. Originally, he had planned to immerse the combustion chamber in a bath of cold liquid to achieve a cooling effect, but Lynn's design was clearly more energy efficient, because the air came directly from the airstream of the fighter jet during flight.
Lynn sketched and scribbled, incorporating many ideas into the design. The thruster, after several revisions, came to resemble a patchwork monster.
But as long as it was useful and efficient, that was all that mattered!
Whatever was convenient was the way to go!
"Why does this thruster structure look so strange?" Dennis glanced over Lynn's revised blueprints and asked, quite perplexed.
The design looked like two funnels put together end to end, with their narrow parts joined together.
