"Hey, Camilla!" Gerard turned to the receptionist's desk and froze.
*Right. She's dead. Total Recall has negative implications, I suppose...*
The guild members throughout the room fell quiet. Rayne, the receptionist at the counter, shook his head at Gerard.
Just then, a burly man barged through the doors to the far end of the room. The adventurers raised their whispered voices, and Gerard caught words of envy and judgment from those looking at the man bounding towards him.
"Gerard! Sprite! My two favourite newbies! Well, I guess you aren't newbies anymore, are you?"
"Hello, Lee," Gerard said, taking several steps back.
"Nice to see you, guild master," Sprite added, welcoming the inevitable.
Lee grabbed Sprite in a vice-like hug before setting her back on the ground.
"Now, for business. There's a dire quest that needs your attention right now. Only you two are capable of dealing with it," Lee said, his eyes burning with passion.
"What's the quest, Lee?"
