Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 : Bood Seed's Inner Area

Victor gritted his teeth and constantly told himself that he had to endure. He just needed to endure a little longer. Most of it was done, only a little remained. He had already taken the first step; all that was left was to prove to himself that he was better than the others. For this, he just needed a little more patience. He mentally repeated all the motivational speeches he had learned in his previous life, trying his best to motivate himself.

This moment was one of the most important moments in his life, and Victor was very clearly aware of this. Therefore, he did not hesitate to push himself and wanted to do everything in his power for it. The difficulties and pains seemed truly great at that moment, but after overcoming that difficulty, real benefits and things that would change a person's life forever would emerge. He did not want to be one of those people who would live with regret for the rest of their lives if they gave up from the very beginning.

Victor was always the type of person who would do his best and then accept his fate. That's how he looked at the issue of fate. No matter what a person does throughout their life, they cannot control everything, and everything will not go as they wish. However, thinking like this and living life without doing anything was also very absurd. A person should do their best and try to achieve the best at the maximum level. Perhaps the best cannot be achieved, but a level below, or even much lower, can be achieved. However, without doing anything, you are left with nothing. Therefore, people should do their best in every matter.

Victor was aware that life consisted of moments. The decisions people made in those moments changed the course of their lives. After that moment passed, its importance became more apparent. Their previous and subsequent lives would undergo a breaking point. People's lives would begin to take shape according to that decision. When he realized that he had caught such a moment, he had to fight with all his strength. This did not contradict the philosophy of doing one's best mentioned above. It's just that opportunities do not always come to people's feet, and when these opportunities are seized, one must again put forth their best effort. Victor was aware that he was in one of those moments right now. Therefore, he could not give up. He had to persist as much as he could.

However, persistence was not something that could be done with words alone. Willpower was the most important thing in this situation. In terms of willpower, he had no training in either his past or this life. However, Victor's current situation was a strange spirit, like the union of two souls, because he came from another world. Therefore, his spirit was much stronger than that of other normal people. The power of the spirit often reflects on willpower and the body. After all, the body is the carrier and vessel of the spirit. A strong spirit nourishes the body and willpower, and conversely, a strong body can also nourish the spirit. Therefore, Victor had a great advantage in terms of willpower. Victor also knew that he possessed this advantage. It was one of the rare advantages he had compared to others. This advantage had to be used to the fullest. Victor thought this way in his mind and was determined to hold on to this advantage until the end. Because if the advantage was used sufficiently, it was seen as an advantage, and if it was not used, it made no difference.

With these thoughts, Victor decided to focus on the dark energy seed. However, the constant signals of pain coming from his heart were not helping him focus. The feeling of something growing inside his body while he was conscious was not a pleasant feeling at all. However, the continuous but slow growth of the inner space within the seed, which was the dark energy storage area for him, motivated him. The principle of this inner virtual space was a matter of curiosity.

The size of the seed inside his body continued to grow slowly. However, when the size of the seed reached the size of a hazelnut, Victor began to worry even though he knew there wouldn't be a problem. Because this size had already reached a point where it would affect blood flow. Any problem that occurred here could directly create a problem large enough to threaten his life. However, at this point, the expression "both virtual and real" began to make sense. With its semi-virtual state, the blood seed would slowly reach a state where it would not put pressure on his body regarding blood flow. Also, when the blood seed reached this size, it did not continue to grow further, and Victor was able to breathe a sigh of relief. All this was clear in the information in his mind, but experiencing it in reality for the first time, Victor inevitably had the thought of whether something would go wrong. Therefore, he could not shake off the tension each time. The slightest mishap here could lead to Victor losing his life. Therefore, the process progressing in accordance with the information in his mind relieved Victor each time.

Although the outer size of the seed had stabilized, the inner virtual space continued to grow. When the outer organ was completely formed, Victor felt as if he had become another species and had somehow separated from the human species. This feeling was also quite normal. For all living things, increasing their life level was like an instinct, but as a result of this instinct, significant differences from their original form were inevitably bound to occur. While developing and evolving in this way, perhaps being seen as a completely new species was also an inevitable consequence.

While the outer area and size of the blood seed became stable, the growth of the inner area had not stopped. It was as if the laws of the universe worked differently at this point. Victor noticed that the pain he felt suddenly began to increase when the inner area reached the same size as the seed. This was already mentioned and expected in the information in his mind. This situation was called the boundary conditions. There were five boundary conditions recorded in the information, but they were only mentioned superficially. Victor had already realized that he had reached the first boundary in this situation. After this boundary was crossed, the pain he felt would continue to increase geometrically.

Victor's spirit was quite strong. His pain threshold was also strong in proportion, but the long-lasting pain was also constantly keeping his nerves tense. The first boundary caused him pain within a tolerable range, which gave him enough motivation to quickly overcome this boundary. Therefore, without dwelling on it too much, he continued to draw in dark energy, and the first boundary was quickly crossed.

Although the first boundary seemed to have been crossed easily, this state had already begun to strain him greatly. However, after this boundary, the pain he felt did not increase at a constant rate. The continuous spread of the pain from the inside out also strained him much more. The inner virtual space continued to expand until it reached the size of a walnut, and when it reached this size, the growth began to slow down. Victor realized that he had reached the second boundary. However, this boundary had not brought him to the verge of giving up either. Therefore, he continued to absorb dark energy here as well, focusing his mind only on passing through.

When the area continued to expand to the size of an apple, he had already reached the third boundary, and Victor was slowly beginning to reach his pain limits. Here, Victor was very close to reaching the limits with his own body, but the real test would begin for him after this point. Because when the body reached its limits, the real test of willpower, which he now saw as an advantage, would come into play.

The reactions he experienced at the very beginning when the blood seed was forming were beginning to occur again and again in his body. He constantly felt the pain in his body. After this boundary, how long he would endure would begin to be determined by his willpower.

Although the cold sweat he broke out in and the clicking sounds from constantly clenching his teeth sometimes helped him to distract himself from the pain, this situation was only momentary, and his mind continued to be filled with that pain again. A torturous process continued, but a true masochist would enjoy this situation. Victor, however, did not have such strange tendencies. He found himself thinking such strange things because he felt every tiny point of pain in all his nerves. Sometimes he even questioned whether this world was real, but the pain he felt reminded him, "Yes, you are damn well alive."

His mind continued to remain in an extremely tense state in this situation, but his willpower allowed him to hold on and continue to motivate himself to keep going. This situation could prevent him from giving up, but he had no idea how much longer he could endure.

Without realizing how time had passed, the virtual space had grown to the size of a small melon. The fourth boundary point emerged when it reached this size. Victor gritted his teeth and continued to pull himself together, saying, "This boundary is not my limit, I can endure."

When one more piece of dark energy was added to this boundary, the boundary was crossed. Afterwards, the virtual space began to grow much faster compared to the other four boundaries. However, this situation caused much more pressure to build up on Victor. In parallel, the pain he felt continued to increase exponentially.

Even his mind had begun to blur. His body was shivering like people who go out naked on a cold day, and the reactions his body was now giving showed that it was beginning to collapse. In this situation, it was telling him that he had passed the point of continuing even with willpower. Willpower could really take a person up to a certain point, but it was clear that Victor was now wandering at the limits of that point.

If he continued to insist further, his body would begin to collapse, and his brain would automatically shut down to protect itself. In other words, Victor was now squeezing the last drops of his body's limits and potential. However, he continued to squeeze that last bit of potential and chase his true limit before forcing himself to let go. This situation was inseparable from his identity as a mixture of two souls. A normal person's willpower would have collapsed long before reaching this point, and their body would have automatically shut down.

Even for Victor, the mixture of two souls, this situation did not last very long. However, he had finally managed to convince his body to hold on until he reached the virtual space boundary for the fifth time. In this situation, the inner area of the seed had grown to the size of a bucket. This boundary now represented Victor's true limit. However, he noticed that the inner area no longer continued to grow before he forced himself to let go. Energy was still being absorbed, but the inner area was no longer expanding. Victor was stunned for a moment in the face of this situation. However, he was long past the point of being able to think about anything else. He hurriedly thought about stopping the absorption of dark energy, but his body now refused to listen to him.

There was no mention of any maximum limit for the seed area in the information he received. However, according to the information, the inner area would not continue to absorb energy indefinitely either. He could no longer keep himself steady and collapsed onto the bed, but even before his consciousness faded, his body was still continuing to absorb dark energy.
