Chapter 608 - Adventure In Hell

The following day, or rather what felt like would be equivalent to a day for me, I emerged from the eloping chamber, stretching as I walked over to the King of Hell. This power he wields makes me look like an ant, and that's on a bad day for him, and a good day for me.

As I rounded the corner, opting to walk this time to get a little extra training in… The King of Hell spoke in a jovial tone. "Ah there you are. You were hiding away for quite a few weeks. Seems like you enjoyed yourself."

"Huh? Wait a minute, that was more than a few weeks? I thought only a day had passed! How is that possible? I've reached the peak of the Dao of Time, that's not something I should miss…"

The King of Hell slapped his leg in laughter. "It's probably due to your sudden increase in cultivation. You aren't used to it just yet, so let me ask you, how long did you fight Ink?"

"Uh… Now that you mention it, I wasn't paying attention. Maybe a few days, at the most? But to be honest I'm still trying to comprehend that fight. Most of that time I was struggling just to remain conscious under my newfound power. And keeping everyone safe from the after effects of my battle…"

The King and Queen of Hell slowly glanced at each other, as if they were confused by just how bad my condition really was. "I see, it seems that you'd do better if you watched the fight again. We can show it to you… And here, watch it on this thing."

"Interesting, it's sort of like those tablets from my old life. Let's see here, and play."

What I witnessed was clearly my battle with Ink, but I didn't remember about 40% of the things that happened. This video ended up being a fantastic reminder of everything I did, and the staggering level of power I had access to, which begged the question…

"So, why is it that I feel substantially weaker than I was before? Is it just the environment?"

"It's the environment. You had reached the limit of what you could achieve outside of an existence like Hell, here. But, you have more than enough promise. You should begin training, so is there something you wish to start with?"

I smiled, that one smile that conveyed I was holding back an intense anger. "There is something. And I do hope it's still possible. You see, there was a dirty old man, he appeared and tried to violate myself and those in my charge. I killed him, but sadly, that was long before I had fully realized my dragon strength. As a result, I was unable to properly punish the vile scumbag."

This time it was the Queen of Hell, her lips curling into a purposeful smirk. "It's a good thing he's still here. Such individuals are tormented in perpetuity, or until I say their souls may be shredded to remake new ones. You may use them as you wish. Oh, but before you do, please let us gather the other nobles of Hell."

"Good, I've got a special torment planned for them." I smiled with glee. "Now then, I suppose I should begin growing accustomed to the environment here. I'll recover a bit faster that way."

It was about a month later, when the other rather interested parties had gathered to watch the show. You see, here in Hell, those who really deserved terrible punishments gave off the greatest show. I didn't quite understand it just yet, as I only received the hyper shortened explanation. Largely due to not needing this information.

Once everyone had gathered around the right area, it was then that it became extraordinarily clear just how many horrible people committed the same acts as that dirty old man. The number was simply staggering, very nearly causing me to lose my cool. However, my new wife, Jiang Yanmei, noticed right away.

"Don't worry about it, this is something that happens. They're messed up in the head. Just do whatever it was you were going to. I'm sure the dukes will vigorously write down whatever punishment it is."

"You're right. Though, I'm not sure it'll be replicable. Then again, your mother is something else. I'm sure she could come up with some type of similar method." I stretched, cracking my knuckles. And as I began to assume my Dragon form I snickered. "Finally, I've waited a long time for this therapy… I can even see the detestable bastard, as well as all of the others from that despicable sect."

"WOAH! So he was the reason that we had to expand the pits before. Such a wonderful transformation."

It was then I expelled my dragon's breath. Though it was only an extremely light peppering, I did want these souls to suffer as much as possible. They did deserve it after all.

"Oh? He's just poking them a little. That's not all that-"

The sound of agonizing screams began to sound out. This drew everyone's attention rather quickly, looking for the cause. And that's when they noticed the souls were being twisted into knots, torn apart, and then restored. However, their souls were restored in an incomplete manner. Their torment now equaled that of those I had sent to Hell after I became a realized dragon.

Jiang Yanmei, blushed at the sight. Just like everyone else here, she had a very particular disdain for this type of heinous people.

"Oh yeah! Now that feels way better." I looked around at the tormented souls. "Yep, this is a much more accurate punishment."

"Wait, won't their souls fall apart faster like this?"

I flew close and then assumed human form once more. "Nope, you see, I've become quite a bit stronger as of late. And I'm sentencing them directly, while here in Hell. It's a whole lot easier to ensure that they'll experience an eternity of torment, as every instance passes. I also took advantage of Mother-in-law's order to make these souls permanent residents for as long as she desires. Which means, they'll experience eternity, every instance, for as long as forever."

The other nobles that manage a huge swath of Hell, got cold shivers down their spines after hearing such a wonderfully terrible punishment.

"Truly a punishment befitting the crime. You're a good one."
