However, even after so long, there were still guards making rounds everywhere (as if they were not needed along the walls), and therefore making it difficult to make a move.
They wanted to use the mirage technique again, but it was surprisingly mana-consuming, so they opted not to do so in the end.
They needed as much mana as they could save. What if they ran out in the middle of the street, exposing themselves needlessly?!
Anyway, Alterra was even stronger than they thought and even after all their preparations, it was still giving them so much trouble.
