Chapter 344 - Chapter 344: Home Sweet Home

For the next few days, the boys spent their time with Harvard's parents, helping out in some chores with their magic, from Solomon having Shady act as a butler to clean and carry things, to Harvard summoning some Lesser Monsters to conserve his energy, watching them utilize the air to help keep things steady, albeit slightly heating up, recognizing the different spheres that were being spread through its winds. As they helped them, Zazel would be more curious about the trinkets and treasures riddled across the walls and on the tables. He'd make his way to Ichabon and tugged him a bit. "Hey ah...Mr. Helsing? How did you exactly got them anyway?" He'd ask, as he'd point at such treasures.

The Father simply laughed before he would sit down, signaling the other three to come over. Stolas would try to pause the recording he has, hearing his Father's voice in recalling his time trying to ride a horse and nearly dying because of it. Once the three were close by, Ichabon would pull out a small, cylindrical case. Such a case held a piece of paper, a scroll, which when opened, would start to glow. His Magic was having the scroll react, letting it replicate one of the Monster's Abilities: Fantasia. Such gases that were escaping from the parchment was quick in snagging some of the objects, letting its story play out: How he had to travel to dungeons and caverns, temples and monuments, evading all sorts of traps and golems that once guarded the sacred lands. "You can kinda say I'm a bit of a risk taker in my time. Had to fight tooth and nail for them, especially with some of the snakes and spiders that slithered and crawled around, Hehe!" He'd remark with a proud face, as his attention was quickly grabbed by one of the fogs around him. "Oh! Oh! There! That's my best moment! Look, Look!" He'd try to shift the boys attention to it. Such a fog displayed him outrunning a monster, a shambling mound of moss and flesh, a zombified mass that was trying to claw its way towards the man. Ichabon would be quick on taking a scroll and opening it, replicating the effects of the Mound itself, a mass of flesh devouring the mass and causing it to expand, slowly breaking apart the very cavern. Despite doing such a decision, his smirk in the image was enough to let the boys know his plan while running away.

To Break the cavern and cave the beast in it.

KRACC!! KRA-COOM!!!

The rocks fell in such a ruthless amount, arms being made from the mass to try and reach him, yet the stones pinned it down, the debris and push made being enough for him to fly out of the mouth, rolling across the entrance, watching the cave come down, the roar of the behemoth as it tried to shift the rocks to escape. "KYAHAHAHA!! SEE THAT!? Hah....Never gonna forget that moment. Danced with Death at that moment and got away with it! To this day, it's my bragging right!" While Harvard would smile at seeing him reclaim such a moment, the other boys were left stunned. Not even a single bit of damage was on him as he made his escape.

"What exactly was that? The whole paper thing?" Zazel asked.

"Oh that? That's my Scroll Magic!"

"Scroll Magic?? As in like...using an Artifact?"

"You can say that!" He'd take another parchment, one completely empty, as he'd start to document something. When the boys took notice of what he's writing, they noticed that he was being focused on the Zombie mound itself, describing its features, its biological functions, and how it acts as the undead. Once finished, the writing quickly sealed itself, energy surging within its text, before the paper rolls itself up. "Scroll Magic basically lets me use other styles of magic, so long as its documented in exquisite detail, at least! Sure, it's more taxing and takes a lot longer to properly use like regular magic, but I'd like to think of that as a benefit! Means I can sit back and write down what tickles me fancy so I can use it for myself! 'Course I'd rather bring at least three to four of these things and not an entire set of them. Crumpled papers can make the magic go haywire, y'now!" He'd joke as he'd see another moment that he enjoyed, directing the children to it. Such fog depicted him being capable of taking a large island, one with marvelous, yellow marble. "Ooh! This one I like too! This was actually where I met your mother, Harvard!"

"In an island??" Solomon questioned, befuddled as to how such was a case. His question would be answered once a massive explosion came within the island itself, a Monster with gasoline and oil leaking from its body like a waterfall, a creature made out of coral, algae, and plankton scaling up the island. A woman can be seen following it, catching Ichabon's attention, seeing her go through the beast and try to pin it down once she's behind them. As Ichabon joined and caused the creature to strike back with its oil, the Woman was quick in kicking its arm to skew its aim, letting the Treasure Hunter take aim with a scroll to cast a massive wave of fire down, melting and blowing up the beast's body in an instant. "...Forget I asked that." The Biblical Sorcerer remarked, though it did brought a small chuckle out of Limosa

"Oh don't you fret, little one. We've met others in weirder circumstances. Actually! I think I still have that photobook we once took!" She'd remark, quickly using her necklace to turn into a ghost and phase through the house's walls, snagging a book and bringing it down to the family, allowing Ichabon to use the fog to take it. "There we are! I'm still amazed our generation caught a glimpse of him from such yonder. Our once in a lifetime event!" She would cheer, having the boy's interests peak a bit, before Solomon and Harvard saw a familiar figure. A person that had their eyes widened once he walked across the sidewalk.

A Man in a vibrant, colorful outfit, a cape of white with many shapes scattered around. A Top hat that coupled well with its warm smile. The two boys recognized this face all too well. "...The man on the ruins..." Solomon commented.

"Tapestry Guy..." Harvard would add, much to the Biblical Sorcerer's annoyance. Nevertheless, they were amazed to see him once more, witnessing the changes he's brought to the people in their aid. He granted them endless feasts to the hungry. He granted them endless entertainment and a chance to be loved by the depressed. He granted them strength and wisdom for the meek and frail. He fixed minds to make them smarter. he changed Bodies to make them feel more comfortable. He brought rain for their crops and sun for their light. As he wandered, as he lived, and as he breathed, he made sure the people he meets are blessed. One of such people Harvard recalled was of an old man. An old man with a rusted cane and a blank eye. "Oh hey! That's Grandpa Rios!" He'd cheer, seeing the kind sorcerer fix his back, letting him walk on his feet once more, as well as healing his heart with a card so he can live longer. He was somehow aware of what his family was, way back then. "Did he really...?" He asked.

"Always has been!" The mother replied, quickly departing the clouds. "Buuut that's all for today! We don't want my little Hero to be staring at the fog all night! Get some sleep you four, I have a special surprise coming up soon!" She'd let the children leave into Harvard's room as they'd clean up what was left, smiling as she looked at the book once more.
