Rose PoV
In the morning, I woke up to find the bed empty. There was no sound of rushing water from the bathroom, nor the smell of breakfast cooking. Was he training or something?
I rose from bed and quietly made my way over to Anis's crib. My baby laid sound asleep, her tiny chest rising and falling with each gentle breath. Seeing her all snug and warm bought a smile to my face. Her daddy must've adjusted her blankets so she wouldn't catch a cold. Usually, Anis somehow would kick them off during the night.
Careful not to disturb her, I tiptoed out of the room, curiosity nudging me to find Saffron. The house was quiet, the kind of stillness that felt both serene and a little unsettling. I padded down the hallway, peeking into his workout room, but there was no sign of him.
