Saffron PoV
After sitting Rose on a pillow besides our daughter, I turned back around and held my wrist up. My bracelet lit up, covered my surroundings in a quick flash of purple light. Once the light vanished, I held my newly rebuilt Bosenmori in my hands. The cannon looked similar as before, except it had a somewhat slimmer barrel and a large and rounder mana chamber.
"Why did you changed it?" I asked, glancing at Gael.
"Setsuka and I figured we would make it stronger," Gael said as he walked over. "The larger chamber allows you to add and absorb more mana into it. While the more streamlined barrel makes your attacks more condensed, increasing their raw power."
I hummed as I moved it around to get a better feel of it. "I see."
"Don't like it?" Gael said, raising a hand.
I stared at it. "The original design allowed me to use it as a shield. This new design makes it less effective as one."
