Elderish stared at Atticus with a stunned expression.
"What have you done?"
Just seconds ago, Atticus' aura had been far more immense than what now surrounded him.
Not only that, his form had changed, he had grown shorter, and his presence had diminished. But to Elderish, that wasn't what stood out most. It was his eyes.
Those ancient yellow eyes that once felt like he was being stared at by a being with timeless power had vanished, replaced by slit-like irises swirling with varying colors.
And then there was the light, that streak of radiant energy that had erupted from Atticus' body moments ago. Elderish didn't need to be a genius to understand.
Atticus had released his bond.
Despite his question, Elderish received no answer. Only that cold, calm stare.
But Elderish couldn't stop himself. His voice rose, filled with disbelief.
