Maxwell shook his head, "Mom never elaborated, but in the city, there are very few people who catch her eye, and your grandmother is one of them."
Old Mrs. Charlie lived in a different era, one that Maxwell didn't have much contact with.

Old Mrs. Charlie's spirits were low again, and she had fallen asleep.
Anthony Charlie saw her deep in sleep before coming out of the hospital room, just in time to see Eve Thompson, who had just finished eating, waiting for him at the dining table.
Upon seeing him, she immediately spoke, "Perfect timing, I'm not feeling very hungry; join me for a bit more."
