While in the midst of recovery from her exhaustion spell, Isabelle continued to rest peacefully inside the safety of her personal quarters. She wasn't technically 'sick', but her body, it seemed, was absolutely holding her past week or so of torturing it against her.
Her condition gradually improved over the following days, although her headaches continued to plague her constantly whenever she tried to move about or talk with anyone. Moving around made her extra dizzy, and she often fell asleep right after waking up.
Sometimes she even found it difficult to stay awake long enough for a meal.
Of course, she gradually got better, but no matter how much she complained and fussed once she was up more than a few minutes at a time, the palace doctors refused to let her get up and go around the palace.
She was stuck in her private chambers until the physicians declared her healthy enough to leave, saying only that if she took care of herself then her strength would return quickly.
