Chapter 219 - 100 Facts About Spectacular World

Hello! Normally, I don't write chapters like this, but I think this is sort of special. We've been on this ride for over a year and a half now, which is kind of scary. What's even scarier, though, is how far from done we are. As it stands, I'd say we're about 60-70% done with part two, out of a planned three parts that I've thought of for this novel. Because of that, there's a good chance this story will still be worked on for another year and a half, or even two more years.

That's a little scary...

It's been a fun ride, though. I've learned a lot about writing and planning, I think. I consider this novel to be a good step forward for me. I know it has a lot of flaws. Like a crap ton, but I like to think I'm also a better writer now than I was back then. Since we've come so far, I thought it would be fun to have a nice little chapter talking about the story as a whole and how far we've come.

So, let's talk about one hundred different facts about Spectacular World.

***

1. Sub Enforcers- Spectacular World as a novel has existed in my head for a long, long time. I first had the seeds of what would become this novel back in 2019. Back then, the story was actually going to be called the Sub Enforcers! As the name suggests, it would have focused a lot more on the Sub Enforcers. Hope, or at least the closest thing that existed to Hope back then, would have joined the Sub Enforcers, which was going to be run by Myth. The Sub Enforcers were a lot different from what they are now and existed more or less as a rip-off of the Enforcers team. Instead of there being several Sub Enforcers like in the current story, there would just be one, which Myth created as a way to try and leech off the fame of the Enforcers. This ended up being scrapped, though, since the more I thought of plots, the more I realized that the team as it existed wasn't going to work out since eventually the team was going to get broken up, just like how it is now, and naming the story after a team that would end up only being a small part of it seemed silly.

2. Spectacular Wolrd's Spectacular Name- As I stated above, the story wasn't always going to be called Spectacular World. So, just where did I come up with the name Spectacular World? Well, I sort of stole the concept from Spider-Man. Spider-Man is often called spectacular, and is one of my favorite heroes, and since I'm a dirty thief that steals, I decided to take the word 'Spectacular' from that. As for why World got added to it, I knew at that point that the story itself was going to be more a look into a world of heroes and the nature it had on them, so I decided to call the story Spectacular World. Hope is the main character, but the tale itself has gone beyond her, following dozens of different characters and cities. Truly, it's a Spectacular World.

3. Shelly Moore- Hope Lauren is the main character, but that wasn't always the case. Before Hope existed, the story followed a girl named Shelly Moore. Shelly was in a lot of ways what Hope would become. She was a teenage girl that liked heroes, rock stars, and anime. As the name suggests, she was also related to Armin. In a lot of my early scripts, Shelly and Armin were going to be siblings. Shelly was going to awaken her powers like how Hope did, and Armin would serve as the role of Kyle, being the guy in the chair. Shelly was going to look a lot different from Hope as well. Her hair would have been dyed pink, and her hero name was actually going to be Ruby Admiral, which, as some people might know, is now the name of the Victorian, back when she was a kid. Shelly also would have used a series of magical rings that gave her her powers. Her relationship with Armin would become tense as the series progressed, since he didn't have powers and would get jealous. In the end this ended up not happening since I just couldn't get the ring powers to work in a way I liked. I also didn't like the start I had created, and so I scrapped it. A year or two later I returned to the project and created Hope Lauren.

4. A Different Start- Spectacular World has had dozens of different starts. The one we have now is an obvious rip-off of Superman, since you have a strange alien pod being found, which has a baby inside, but that wasn't always how the story was planned to begin. In some starts, I had it following a girl named Shelly and her brother Armin robbing a store. That's right, the story was going to start with our main character committing a crime. Basically, we'd follow Shelly and Armin as they head to a pawn shop. We'd find out they were down on their luck and in a bad crowd. The two only had each other, and they made do by committing crimes. They both made sure to never hurt anyone, though. They'd rob the store, and it was here that Shelly would find a magical ring that once belonged to a long-dead hero, and the plot would really kick off. I was afraid this would make Shelly and Armin not likable, though, and so I ended up getting rid of this idea.

5. Hope Lauren's Name- After I decided to not use Shelly Moore, I settled on naming my character Hope Lauren for one simple fact. I wanted to make a lot of 'have hope' jokes with her. Hope, the concept, is a big part of the series, and people running out of it, or refusing to give up on it, so part of my brain thought it would make sense to name the character Hope. As for how Lauren got added on, I tried a dozen different last names but settled on Lauren because I liked the way it sounded. Hope Lauren was a phrase I'd say a lot, and it settled on my tongue well. I also redesigned Hope in my head. Shelly was sort of a punk. She had dyed hair and piercings and was kind of a goth chick. For Hope, I wanted her to be more reserved and average. Normally in a lot of aspects.

6. Superman- It shouldn't be shocking that Hope is based on Superman/Supergirl. Full Monarch was a concept that had always existed in my head since I started the project. He was always going to fulfill a Superman-like role; I just didn't know for sure how far he'd go in that regard. You might be a little shocked that at one point Shelly used magic rings since that has nothing to do with Superman, and it's because for the longest time Full Monarch and Hope weren't going to have a connection. Full Monarch did exist in the world, or at least a version of him, but he was sort of an idea meant to be conquered rather than a beacon of hope or something the current Hope has to live up to.

7. Stand Tall- In that regard, Full Monarch's name used to actually be Stand Tall. I changed the name, though, because I liked Monarch more. Monarch, Admiral, and Emperor are all butterfly names, as well as positions of power or titles. So I decided to call him Full Monarch and have a character called Ruby Admiral and the Emperor to give them this butterfly-like effect. Stand Tall, at one point, though, was going to be Full Monarch's name, and he was going to be a vastly different character. For one, Stand Tall was actually alive and was going to be the main villain. I had this idea for having the number one hero be this uber-powerful guy and thought, 'What would happen if he suddenly became evil?' And so, Stand Tall was going to be the final villain. This got scrapped pretty quickly, though, because the trope of Superman but evil gets done a lot, and instead of doing that, I thought it would be more interesting to have him be even closer to Superman by having him be pure good. And so, instead of a villain, I changed him to Full Monarch and went all in on him being a hero. I then decided that I made him way too strong. I love Full Monarch, and so I gave him every power and ability I could think of. In a lot of ways, he's the main character and the most important being, and I didn't want him to lose at all, so I made the choice to kill him off before the start of the story so he'd never be beaten. Who knows, though? Maybe one day he'll come back.

8. Writerulves- Writerulves... A weird word, right? An even weirder concept. Aliens obviously exist in Spectacular World. The Lords came from beyond the stars, the Beast from Space is on Mars, other planets have been referenced in the databook, and the series has talked about UFOs pretty early on. Aliens and their existence, though, at one point mattered a lot more. They were a concept that we were going to see play out a lot. Stand Tall/Full Monarch was going to be an alien, the same for the Emperor. There were no Lords, and instead, the two of them would have crashed on Earth during ancient times and been locked in a never-ending battle. Writerulves was the type of species the Emperor was going to be. Essentially, they were a type of alien that had the ability to harness creation and imagination to alter themselves or the world, creating energy or anything else they needed. Basically, they served more or less a stronger, more op version of Jack's power and were borderline reality-breaking and needed to be nerfed and taken out.

9. The Evil Of Existence- Going further into aliens, concepts such as magic and gods played a role in the first drafts of Spectacular World. Besides Stand Tall being planned to be the main villain, another entity known as Existence was going to be the true final boss, which would serve more or less as Earth itself, which gained awareness and wanted to wipe out humanity. Honestly, I didn't really think too much about this and just knew that I wanted a cool final villain that was Godlike in nature.

10. John Bravo- Just as how Hope used to be named Shelly, Jack, the secondary protagonist of Spectacular World, used to be vastly different. His name was going to be John Bravo, and in some ways he was just like how he is now. He was at one point the Emperor but lost badly to Stand Tall and had to go into hiding. In this version he was a Writerulve and was going to be the owner of the pawn shop that Shelly would rob. Her stealing the ring is what would kick-start him taking her under his wing, as the ring once belonged to his daughter, who tragically died. His daughter would have despised him since he was the Emperor, the number one villain, and so she became the hero Ruby Admiral and channeled her powers into the ring. She ended up dying at the hands of Stand Tall, though, and in his grief, John hid himself away until Shelly accidentally took the ring. Just like in the current story, John would more or less serve as a protector and mentor to Shelly, helping guide her early on, before it eventually became time for her to surpass him. John was going to be a bitter man that hated a lot of things and was mad a lot. Basically the only thing that changed between him and Jack is the name.

11. Jack Larison The Main Character- At a few points in my time writing, I actually planned Jack/John to be the main character. I was having a hard time getting into Shelly's head, and I always knew that Jack would have this deep-rooted backstory connected to Stand Tall, so in a lot of ways he came off as a lot more important and sort of filled the role of main character. I ended up putting my foot down, though, since I knew I wanted Hope/Shelly to be the real main character and watch them grow. Jack is someone that doesn't have a lot of development because, in my head, his story was never going to be a happy one, and so him being the actual main character would be maybe a little sad, since he's kind of depressing.

12. Jack And Jill- Jack Larison is named the way he is because of Jill Laision. I created the Victorian pretty early on into my writing career, or at least the concept of her, and knew I wanted her and Jack to have a connection. "Jack and Jill went up the hill" is a phrase most people know, so I settled on renaming John to Jack and named the Victorian Jill. I also gave them last names that sound similar, and the reason they have those names is because of Lauren. I wanted Hope and Jack to both have names that ended with the same letter, and I settled on Hope Lauren, for Hope so needed a good last name for Jack that ended in L. Thus Larison was born, and by proxy, Laision. Jack and Jill, in a lot of ways, are the same side of the coin, so I was glad that I was able to make them closer through their names.

13. Knightmare- Before she was the Victorian, Jill was actually going to be known as Knightmare at one point in the story's run. I didn't like the name, though, since it didn't sound hopeful enough to be or scream number one. Also around this time I started reading a series called Hero Killer, which has a character named Victoria who is a blonde woman with a golden sword... Yeah, I ripped her off and added the letter n to the name to change it, and thus Jill became the Victorian!

14. The Importance Of Full Monarch- As I said before, Stand Tall was at one point going to be a villain, but I fell in love with the idea of Full Monarch serving a different role. So I came up with him being the greatest hero ever, and I always knew he was going to have a connection to Hope, Jill, and Jack. Him serving as Jill's father was always going to be a thing after I decided he'd be dead, and I knew I wanted Hope to sort of get his powers but make them her own so she could become a hero on the same level as him while not just being the next him. I also knew he and Jack were always going to have a complicated relationship that even I have a hard time figuring out sometimes. One criticism I've gotten a lot in my writing is how connected characters are. This is because I think I made Full Monarch the plug-in for a lot of things. He's the guy that beat Lucifer, the enemy of the Emperor, the father of Victorian, the guy who saved Battery, the hero before Hope. He's someone who I knew I wanted to make important, and I was only able to do that by killing him, since if he did exist and was still alive, there wouldn't be a story.

15. The Lords- Believe it or not, the Lords were a last-second inclusion into the series. Actually, they were even less than that. I wrote chapter one and included the Pod and Hope being found as a baby and had no plans to make her a Lord at the time or to have any of them exist at all. Full Monarch was never going to be the Lord of the Sun and Cosmos and instead was going to be an alien. Shelly, the main character, would have gotten her powers from a magic ring, but I scrapped this and wanted Hope to be more closely tied to Full Monarch. I had the Pod stuff happen and knew I wanted her to be found there. The plan was to just make her the same kind of alien as Full Monarch, but then a few chapters later, I had this idea. I was describing how powers existed for a while and thought, 'What if there were four main guys that started it all?' and the idea took root. I worked on it more and tweaked some stuff and made the Lords a thing. I also decided to just make Full Monarch a Lord and, through that, have Hope be one as well. I had thought maybe I'd only have just the two of them be the Lords, but the more I worked on it, the more I liked the concept of there being four uber-powerful, kickass girls that could all come together at one point. And so, Hope became a Lord, and I came up with three more, creating Poseidon, Paragon, and Whisper. I knew Paragon and Whisper would always end up being Lords as well and decided to make Poseidon the strongest at the time since she'd be the oldest while Hope was still learning how everything worked. And so, the rest is history, as they say.

16. The Lord Of The Sun, Cosmos, Sea, Depths, Sky, Weather, Land, and Life- So, how did each Lord get their name? Well, that's pretty simple. I knew I'd have four Lords, and so I needed four concepts. Wind, Earth, Water, and Fire. So I had this idea for one to be based off of each one. Hope had lasers and stuff, so placing her in the fire section was easy, and I already had a character named Max Lightning who could fill the wind part. Sky was a character already who could heal, so I made her Earth, and lastly, that left Water, who went to her sister, Poseidon. I knew I needed to come up with a good name for each one, so I thought about it and decided on Lord of the Sun for Hope, since I thought the Sun was a lot more intense than just fire. Following that logic, I made Sea for water, Sky for wind, and Land for earth. Something was wrong, though. You see, I'm a Full Monarch simp. I made him the most OP, the coolest, and the strongest I could. So much so he went beyond just fire powers. So just Lord of the Sun wasn't enough. I needed him to be more. And so I added Cosmos. It was vague and sounded epic, and I think he told his level of power with just that word. Lord of the Sun and Cosmos became a thing. In turn, the others needed more. Lord of the Sky and Weather sounded right to me, the same for Lord of the Sea and Depths. Finally, I always knew Sky was going to be based around Life, and so I named her the Lord of the Land and Life.

17. The Rulers- Yet again we come to a concept I didn't actually have fully figured out. I had the Lords vs the Shadow as a thing that was always planned, and the more I worked on the Lords, the more I knew I needed to give the Shadow something, which in turn led to the creation of the Rulers pretty late into the series. I didn't plan on anyone being one of them. It just sort of happened one day. Lucifer claimed to be a Ruler, and at the time, he was mocking the Lords, but then I thought, 'What is a Ruler?' That helped create the process, and so I decided, just like how there were four Lords, I needed four Rulers. I knew the four Lords would all end up being girls, so I thought I'd make the Rulers old men, and more than that, they should be fathers. Each Ruler has a connection to a child, some more obvious than others. I also knew they'd have a lot of connections to the Lords, which is one of the reasons I worked on them more. I didn't plan for Jack to be one until closer to the Beast fight when I accidentally wrote myself into a corner since I'm stupid and needed a way to bring him back. Luckily, I had set it up that the Rulers couldn't die through the Emperor and Lucifer, and Jack fit the role well enough, so I made him a Ruler.

18. Ruler of Giants, Angels, Devils, and Gods- Just like with the Lords, I needed the Rulers to have some sort of name. Jack always had some connections with giants and this fantasy element, and both Lucifer and the Emperor had their respective traditions, so the only one who actually needed something was Legend. In the end, I settled on God since I thought it'd be ironic. Their other titles, in turn, were just things I thought sounded cool or helped base their powers.

19. Cinder- I mentioned earlier at one point that Shelly was going to be named Ruby Admiral. This was back when she was going to have a magical ring. When I created Hope, I knew I was going to have her use lasers since I wanted her to be another Full Monarch, who in turn is based off of Superman. I then created the Lord of the Sun and decided Hope should have fire powers. This led to the creation of her name, Cinder, since it sounded fiery enough.

20. Just like Cinder, Battery didn't used to be a thing. I never really knew what I wanted to name Jack's hero persona and came up with dozens of different concepts. I settled on Battery, though, since he had to do with energy and charging, and it sounded cool. Also, Battery and Cinder were the letters B and C, which were next to each other, and I thought that was neat.

21. Snowdawn- A while back I said Armin and Shelly were going to be siblings. I changed my mind on this, though, when I created Hope Lauren. I knew I wanted Hope and Armin to still be close and act like siblings, but not actually be. At first Armin wasn't going to have powers and would more or less be serving the role of Kyle, but I really liked writing him, and my friend also liked Armin, so I made him a lot more important and gave him powers. I decided he'd have ice powers to make him different from Hope. I also settled on the name of Snowdawn. Dawn is in his name because it has to do with the sun, and he and Hope are best friends. Snow is because he has cold powers. Snowdawn also sort of sounds like snowed on. So Snowdawn became a name.

22. Whisper- Lois was a character who I created when I came up with the concept of the Lords. I knew I wanted her to more or less serve the role of the Lord of the Sky and Weather but not start with it. I also knew I wanted her to fulfill another role besides combat and more on the weak side at first. So this led to me giving her invisibility-based powers. I also named her Whisper since it had to do with her being quiet.

23. The Spectacular World Databook- This one is pretty simple. I created the Spectacular World databook as a way to keep track of all my different characters. This is a very, very big book, with a ton of words, characters, and concepts, so the databook sort of served as a place for me to keep everything. I have plans to release a Databook Part 2 at the end of Part 2 and even a Databook 3 once the series concludes, which will likely be the biggest chapter of the series since the Part 1 databook is so huge. This is likely going to be almost as big, though, lol.

24. Supers- The name Supers just sort of became a thing. In Marvel you have mutants, and in DC you have metas. I don't think Supers is that clever, but I knew I wanted to call my people something. So I came up with the name Supers to refer to someone that has powers. It seemed simple enough.

25. Worm/Parahumans- Yes, I ripped off a lot of series. Worm/Parahuman was one such thing. I even took full-blown scenes. I am a dirty thief. In general, I did this because Worm was the story that actually kick-started my writing. It was the first webstory I read that was based on superheroes and blew my mind. I loved every second of it, and a lot of my own series started off as Worm fanfic.

26. Hero Killer- Just like with Worm, a lot of my story was also based off another piece of media called Hero Killer. It's a webcomic, though I haven't actually read it in a while. The Victorian was based off a character from it, and I stole a bunch of other things. I'm kind of bad at ripping stuff off, lol.

27. Retcons- As long-time readers might notice, if you look at past chapters of Spectacular World, you'll notice a lot of stuff has changed, been tweaked, or been added to. I'm quite bad at writing and have a lot of issues with some of my stuff. This sometimes leads to me getting new or different ideas. I've added entire chapters, changed plot points, and other such things. Nowadays I don't do it to nearly the same extent since I pretty much have the rest of the plot fully figured out, but in the past I was changing things a bunch.

28. Time Travel- Speaking of things that got retconned and changed... Time travel used to be a big part of the series. My editor told me it was a bad idea, I was dumb for doing it, and it opens up stories to endless amounts of possible plot holes and narrative pitfalls, so I threw it out and heavily tweaked the plot. There will still be time travel later on...

29. Goblin Jack- As I mentioned above, the editor sometimes doesn't like things that happen. Goblin Jack refers to a concept that happened recently. Jack was more or less a goblin for a chapter. My editor felt like it wouldn't get a positive reaction, though. I had plans for a chapter to follow Jack as he walked around the dream world looking like a goblin, but unfortunately, my editor was right, and most readers didn't seem to enjoy it at this point in the story, so I scrapped it and ended the Goblin Jack plot point a bit early. It will return...

30. Susanoo- Another Jack fact has to do with the series Naruto. Jack's Giants are described as being cloaked in energy and astral-looking. They're massive and able to tear down entire cities. Jack also has a Giant form which I based off of the Susanoo from Naruto since I'm a weeb.

31. Super Saiyan- This is actually one thing I didn't steal! Believe it or not, Hope's golden hair form isn't actually based off of the Super Saiyan transformation! This is because instead I based her form off of Mavuika from Genshin Impact. The fiery golden hair and burning eyes were cool, and I fell in love with it. I really liked the concept for a badass transformation for Hope, and it felt like it would greatly power her up in a way that I imagined sounded cool.

32. Yuri?- Since the story was first thought of, I knew that Hope/Shelly was going to be at least bi. The more I worked on it, though, the more I liked the idea of Hope ending up with Sky. A lot of people also seemed to like it, and so I decided to lean into it more. Hope became a lesbian, as did Sky, and it became the end goal plan. I also decided to do this since I knew yuri as a tag was popular on most of the sites I'd be posting to, and I thought it'd help my story get more popular and gain attention. Despite that, though, I wouldn't describe Spectacular World as a yuri story. It has very, very, very little yuri elements aside from Hope and Sky. It's more or less an action-packed shonen comic book-like novel that just happens to have a lesbian main character. Since the story started, there have also been gay and even trans characters.

33. Evan Ros- If you are looking for a trans character, look no further than Evan. It was mentioned briefly in the book, but Evan did at one point plan to be a girl. I changed my mind, though, and made him a guy, then thought to do both. He became who he is because of that and is my first trans character, not counting Green Wolf, who doesn't really count.

34. BS Powers- A lot of powers can be kind of bullshit. I sort of have an issue of going over the top sometimes and trying to one-up myself. Because of this, a lot of the powers through the series can be kind of crazy, OP, and over the top. I really enjoy doing this and like a lot of what I created despite this. I also think it adds to a lot of the charm that the story has.

35. Inverting- Inverting is a concept that I thought of randomly one day. This sort of adds on to the BS power section. I wanted to give people other powers besides the ability they had, and so I came up with the concept of Inverting. It is something I still use a lot today and has made for a lot of neat scenes, I think.

36. The Enforcers- I always knew that the Enforcers was going to be the name of the number one hero team. In a lot of my old notes and ideas, Stand Tall was going to be the leader of this team, and I would have had him eventually wipe it out. I ended up changing this, though, because at the time the series Invincible began to get an animated series, and I was afraid it'd be too close to Omni Man. I then scrapped Stand Tall and made him Full Monarch, and the Victorian became the leader of it. A lot of the characters that were in it already existed, and instead of dying, I gave them all a lot more scenes and decided to use them throughout the series.

37. Ocean Empress- Ocean Empress existed since the start, though I never planned on her being a love interest for Jack. Even now, I don't know if I could even really call her his proper love interest. They were more or less two characters who suffered a lot. A lot of people shipped them, and I added a lot of scenes of them together because of this. I don't think I'd say they ever truly loved each other, but they did help each other out a lot.

38. Hope x Sky- Sky and Hope, unlike Ocean Empress and Battery, were sort of always planned to be together. It was a relationship that I thought of more and more. I was a huge Worm fangirl, and I guess in a way really liked and hoped for Taylor x Amy, which of course never happened. Spectacular World was partially Worm fanfic when I first made it, so I guess in a way, Hope x Sky was the closest thing I'd get to a canon Taylor x Amy. Of course not really, but I still enjoy it. I think the two fulfill each other, and I like giving them scenes. I'll admit, this isn't a huge romantic book and leans more to action and adventure, but it is nice every now and then to give them moments together.

39. Adventure- Spectacular World is a series I made that was always planned to be an action- and adventure-themed novel. I enjoy sending my characters into new environments. Oleander was a city, but we've also seen places like the Under City, the Waste Land, and even the Murder Games. I like describing strange places and having my characters have to figure them out. Adventure is the tag I enjoy the most, even above action and romance.

40. Kevin- Kevin was a concept I sort of created randomly. He was at first just going to be a bully, but the longer I worked on the series, the more I kept giving him scenes. I'm not really sure why I did. I'm glad I did, though. He kept growing, and eventually I gave him his own subplot, and then I gave him powers and expanded him. He kept evolving and changing and soon became the character he is now. Shockingly, a lot of people seemed to like him. It made me glad in a lot of ways.

41. Minotaur Librarian- A few facts from the editor, now! Hi, Sunny here. I'm a friend of the author and rookie editor, and I've been helping with this story for the past two or three years despite some early reluctance on my part, though the author and I both like to joke that the 'Stockholm Syndrome' has sunk in. But, the fact! Myth is actually a character that I came up with when the author asked the players in their dnd game if they wanted to come up with some concepts, though he was actually named Minotaur Librarian in the original concept (this name is actually mentioned in the story, during a flashback). He even had different villains, like Enlightened Cockroach (who does get an appearance in the story, though it's sadly unrelated to Myth).

42. Myth's Powers- Continuing on with Myth (is it obvious that he's my favorite character?—Sunny), he actually had vastly different powers in the 'Minotaur Librarian' concept, where instead of being a transformation-based hero, he was almost more of a Doctor Strange-type sorcerer that summoned spectral bulls. He did also take the form of a Minotaur, which was just a hat on a hat. Eventually, he would have gained more creatures he could summon, along with a vampire's spellbook. Eventually, this was obviously changed to transforming when the author wanted to remove magic, like spells and sorcerers, to ground the world a little bit.

43. Puns Galore- One thing readers might have noticed is that Snowdawn tends to make ice- or cold-based puns. (This was an addition by me!—Sunny). When Armin was tweaked to become a hero, we decided that he needed to keep his goofy, nerdy jokes. And so, he constantly makes puns to express this. It even catches on, with Poseidon eventually making some of her own!

44. Gamer Villain- Another character trait readers might have caught onto is Green Wolf's gamer lingo. This wasn't actually part of their vocabulary for a long time. But, one day, we looked back and noticed that a few of his lines were surprisingly nerdy, specifically mentioning final bosses and things like that, so we fed that flame a little, sprinkling more gamer references into his speech (he even played a League of Legends ripoff called Federation of Family—Sunny).

45. Looking Behind the Curtain- Editor here, for another little fact! Obviously, when the author finishes a chapter, they pass it on to me to read and check it for errors and such. Now, obviously, I'm not an actual editor, just a friend who stepped into the shoes. But we make up for it with a convoluted process. Before the editor signals for me to get to work, they actually put it through their grammar-checking software and then send it on to me. I then put it into a grammar-checking software of my own and actively read it while the software checks it out. Once I'm done, the author gives it one more run-through in their grammar software and has me put it through one last check in my software. So, all in all, these chapters get checked at least four times, yet there's almost always something hiding from us in the lines. Luckily, you readers are always at the ready to catch any we miss.

46. The (old) Enforcers- After the Beast fight, the story delves into the Full Monarch era for the heroes. One part of this is the old Enforcers, all of which are characters thought up by my editor (with the exception of Young Dog). Some are confirmed to be dead in the story's current time, while some do have little moments. Most have some reference to characters from other stories or even games! Hands, for example, is actually a reference to the character with the same name in Cyberpunk 2077, while his powers were initially inspired by the Ghost Devil from Chainsaw Man. (See? I'm a thief, too. ;p — Sunny)

47. Magically Mundane- Reading through some of these facts, you might have noticed something. You might be asking yourself (along with a few other questions) 'Hey, Minotaur Librarian was mentioned to be able to cast spells and summon spirit bulls, but the story only has very few people that use magic, like Street Magician. Where'd the magic go?'. And there's actually a reason for the lack of spellcasters in Spectacular World. At one point, I wanted to lean more into the sci-fi aspect rather than the magical, so a lot of the magical heroes and powers were removed or tweaked to focus less on magic. As the story went on, I decided to relax this ruling and let a little slip into the story.

48. Lois and Octavius- Editor, again! Obviously, my favorite hero is Myth (aka. Octavius Thaddeus). Something that's sprinkled through the story is a minor subplot about a potential relationship between Lois and Octavius. This was something that was done to explore more of both characters' lives, both tied by having terrible parents. It remains as a fairly minor plot for part one and most of part two, though it does get a little light prior to the Legend fight, but the author does plan for it to have a noticeable impact in future parts, so look out for that!

49. Supers and Merchandising- One fun aspect of the story that I enjoy is the peeks into the mundane parts of the world, like fast food chains and toy companies headed by heroes, merchandise stores demolished by dead monsters, and even video games! Occasionally, my editor will read through a chapter and come up with some minute detail that adds a little spice to the flat backdrop of a scene, which is where things like the Feast Shack come from. That's why, despite the errors here and there, I keep them around. That, and they're cheap.

50. Comics- Now, obviously, I wrote this story with a comic style in mind, taking inspiration from golden-age comics. You might ask why I chose to write the story as a novel rather than as a comic. And to answer that, I have a few reasons. Firstly, I enjoy exploring complex thoughts and dialogue that would be too wordy for a comic panel (though it would be easy enough to change to fit). Secondly, money. While I would absolutely love to see this story in a comic format, I simply don't have the money for an artist. Writing it like this is frankly cheaper (I'm cheap enough to keep around, luckily!—Sunny), and I do want to try to finish this story before I start looking at that avenue. I would also love to see a Spectacular World videogame, though that runs into a similar wall.

51. Patreon- That brings me to my next little fact. Are you tired of me bringing Patreon up a bunch? Well, too bad. I have a Patreon, and it does actually get some money here and there. I don't want to make any promises, but it does release chapters a lot early and will be the first thing updated when Spectacular World does return, so if you're looking for that itch to be filled, check it out!

52. Phoenix Flight- This next one has nothing to do with Spectacular World, but I thought I should bring it up, because why not? For the past few months, I've actually been working on a new story that I have plans to release soon, in the near future. Its name is Phoenix Flight, and with any luck, it'll be a story that many people enjoy. It is vastly different from Spectacular World, and I have plans for it to be another long-term, fantasy novel. As mentioned above, it'll be dropping soon on Patreon!

53. Space- So at one point Spectacular World was going to be vastly different with things like magic and aliens running around constantly. Since then, though, a lot of things have been watered down to an extent and reduced to more or less a backdrop element. Supers tend to just get their powers from Egos, and aside from the Beast, the Lords, and the Rulers, the concept of aliens and magic doesn't come up a bunch. Despite that, though, Spectacular World still does plan to tackle some epic space battles later on, and we've been to space several different times through the series so far. The Beast's section in the databook even mentions that it's been to other planets before! Space, aliens, and magic all still exist; they're just waiting to be seen!

54. Lordians- Likewise another fun little fact that's popped up recently is the concept of a Lordian. Some readers might have noticed the Brightest Star claimed to be this. Lordians is a concept that will get expanded on a lot more as we progress through the book. For now, all I can say is to try and keep an eye on that word. We might be seeing a lot more of them sooner than you'd think.

55. Imaginary Power- This next section has to do with Jack's power. As it's been said several times through the series, Jack is blessed with an extremely overpowered ability. He has Imaginary energy. Since the start Jack has always been blessed to be op even in my past notes, like when he was an alien. Back then, he would have had reality-altering powers. Now his ability is more like a watered-down version of the Lord of the Cosmos, containing energy that can be altered into nearly any form, allowing for the creation of his giants. If you've paid attention so far, you'll notice how often I tend to steal ideas and concepts since I'm not good at coming up with stuff. Jack's powers were sort of inspired by a character named Welt Yang from Honkai Star Rail! There are a few other things here and there with him as well, but for the most part, that's the gist!

56. Pantheon- I once mentioned that the story was going to be named Sub Enforcers and would have followed just the Sub Enforcers. Why did this change, though? Well, as I said, I knew that eventually the entire group would shatter and several members would die, so it didn't feel right to name the story after the group's title, since I knew the group itself would end up being a small part of the series. I eventually tweaked the Sub Enforcers and made them closer to what they are now after reading Worm, and in turn needed a new group. Myth was always planned to be the leader of the main team, and if it isn't obvious, he's always had this big Greek theme going on. Pantheon is in reference to Gods and I actually got the idea to name the group that by figuring out a good group for Battery. I always knew he'd steal the name, and Pantheon refers to a bunch of gods, which felt fitting since I knew I wanted Poseidon to join it eventually, so working backwards, I created the name for Myth's group, knowing Jack would steal it. I plan to pull Pantheon out a few more times through the series!

57. Death- Spectacular World kills characters off. Like a lot of characters. Sometimes it seems like someone is dying every few chapters, be it villains, heroes, or innocent people. I still consider myself to be a new writer, and a lot of times I make mistakes. I'll be the first to admit there were times when I did something shocking that I sort of regretted later and wished I didn't. Namely, I sort of regret killing characters like Evan and Phoenix and wish I didn't, but I'm in way too deep now.

58. The Wet Bandits- Yes, Cybercrocs group, the Wet Bandits, is a reference to Home Alone. That's why they flood homes. I needed a goofy, sea-based villain concept and thought it would be funny.

59. The Lord Forms- I mentioned where Hope's form was inspired from, but what about the others? Well, I knew I wanted all the Lords to have a physical transformation and decided the hair and eye color of every Lord would change. For Hope, I settled on blonde hair and red eyes. I liked the idea of all the Lords having something in common, and red eyes were just cool to me, so I made all the Lords get the red-eyed form. I then just needed to settle on a color. For Poseidon, I liked blue. It was a contrast to Hope's gold, and in my head it worked well with the red and seemed perfect for a God of the Sea. White was mostly picked for Sky because I gave Wish white hair. Lastly, that left Lord of the Weather, which became gray since gray storm clouds.

60. The Form Beyond Battle Mode- Lords have two forms. The first is their battle mode, and the second is a merge with the Lord's true form. So far we've only seen two of these forms. Poseidon became a weird sea monster, which is her form beyond battle mode, but both Hope and Full Monarch have been shown cloaking themselves in an aura of fire. Hope's is described as gold since she lacked the Cosmos half, but the true form of the Brightest Star would be more akin to how the Beast is described, but made out of intense blue fire. This was Full Monarch's true form, and the mode that was said to be unbeatable, since it beat every evil foe in one strike. Both Sky and Lois will eventually evolve as well and we'll get to see their merged forms.

61. The Ruler Forms- Likewise, Rulers also have forms, though they can't turn theirs off, with the exception being Jack and the Emperor. Lucifer's form is why he looks so nasty, with oil-colored hair and golden eyes. He's all stitched together and gross-looking. It's also why Legend looks like a giant man-baby who has to hide behind a suit made in the image of Full Monarch. The Emperor's true form is that of a giant dragon, but he's reshaped his body with his powers, which is why he has his human form. Jack's true form hasn't been seen yet, but the reason he wasn't in it was because he hadn't yet been pushed far enough in his Ruler power.

62. This Isn't Even My Final Form- One flaw I have with Spectacular World, which I'll admit is an issue, is the choice to have characters pull out BS powers or transformations seemingly from nowhere. I've learned a lot from writing, yet still sometimes fall on this crutch, especially early on. A lot of old fans weren't happy with that, but I do have fun adding to my system. I'll try to do it less as the story gets bigger, but we'll see.

63. The Fan Base- Believe it or not, there is a fanbase for Spectacular World!!! Not a big one, but I've noticed several readers who have commented on nearly every chapter. There are people who were here since the start and people who jumped on halfway. I post this on a ton of different sites, and it's more popular on some than others, but it makes me happy any time I get a comment. Even bad comments or comments that don't like my story are fun to read since they help me improve. I'm glad I have so many readers, and hopefully anyone that's made it this far likes the story.

64. 70-80% Done- This next section has to do with how far part 2 has come. Despite how the last chapter ended, we're not done with part 2 yet. Part 2 has for the longest time been planned to be the biggest part of the story. I knew the Murder Games would be a huge section that we built toward and set up, and so I spent a ton of time figuring the arc out and getting it ready. We're starting to near a semi-ending section to the arc, but it's got a few dozen chapters left still since there are so many battles and character moments to get through.

65. Part 3- Once part 2 does come to an end, we'll reach the third and final part of Spectacular World! Basically this story is still going to be going on for quite a bit more time, so sorry, but you guys are stuck with me for a bit longer.

66. More Yuri- Once part 2 does end, I do plan on taking a few steps back and having things calm down for a bit during the beginning of part 2. I also think it'll be time to finally have Hope and Sky settle down and become official, along with a bunch of other concepts I set up.

67. RIP Armin- Armin's death was always planned. I know that might seem shocking, but I knew from the start I was going to kill him off, and I also knew it was going to be at the hands of Lucifer! I still have plans for some stuff, so I won't go too in-depth, but Armin was created to die.

68. Lucifer and the other Immortals- Obviously the Immortals are all named after angels, but why? Well, I had some idea for Lucifer's character since the start. In some drafts he was actually going to be Frankenstein's monster! As in the actual monster that was created by Frankenstein. He would name himself Lucifer since in the novel Frankenstein's monster reads Paradise Lost, which features Lucifer. That's also why Lucifer has golden eyes, since in the novel Frankenstein's Monster was most famous for its golden eyes. This plot got changed pretty early on, though, and scrapped after I came up with more world lore, so it is no longer the case. The name stuck, though, and I decided to pick other names based off of Angels. I sort of just selected them based on how cool they sounded and didn't put a lot of thought into it.

69. Erotic- No. There will not be any erotica chapters. I have been asked, and I do not plan on pushing my rating limit. There have been a few perverted moments with Hope, but I have no plans for any sexual content, so for those who wonder, here is your answer. Yes, I did wait till answer 69 to answer this.

70. Post Apocalyptic- I knew since I started writing Spectacular World I wanted to slowly reveal that it was a post-apocalyptic novel. We saw elements with entire sections of the city being left behind and the world outside, but the longer the story went on, the more it became clear this wasn't a good world. A lot of issues some readers had were why people even live in this world, and the answer to that is simple. Where are they going to go? They're stuck. The Beast from space makes it impossible to leave. They could give up, but I believe in the human spirit. Humans have done the impossible throughout history, again and again, and I've seen plenty of people that get annoyed when I have humans survive, but just look at real life. In a lot of ways, humanity has done a lot to survive. We're like cockroaches and keep coming back. Having hope can do a lot, and the world is full of it, even in the worst of times. Humanity, when faced with destruction, will somehow save itself. Or maybe not, and we'll all die out or something, lol. In my book, though, humans are cool and can keep pushing forward.

71. Heroes Kill- Likewise, this next section basically goes into the obvious fact. Heroes kill. Early on I got a lot of hate because villains would escape. The heroes do kill, and when they do capture villains, it's for a reason. As for why villains get away... What happens if I don't let them get away? Let's say Green Wolf dies. No more Green Wolf. I now have to come up with a new villain and explanation for why they haven't been heard of or mentioned. I could do that, of course, but what happens when he dies? And then a new one shows up and dies? At a point you just start making villains for the sake of them being killed, and if they can only show up for a few arcs, you don't get anything out of them. I'm sure a good writer could make that work, but it should be clear by now that a good writer I am not.

72. Nightshade- I was once asked if Nightshade is based off of the birdcage from Worm. No. I know it may seem like it. A prison built by the smart hero that holds villains, but no. Nightshade is not based off the birdcage. Nightshade is kind of fucked up and a bad place to be in general, whereas the birdcage is at least semi-livable. The only real thing they have in common is they're a prison made by a Super to hold other Supers, but that's just because throwing villains in normal cells would have caused people to get even more salty and mad. Trust me, I rip off a lot of stuff, but the prison isn't one of them. Most super-related works are going to have a prison made to hold Supers.

73. Monsters- I created the Monsters sort of as a last addition. At first they were just going to be Supers who were connected to the Emperor, and for the most part that's what they are, but I called them Monsters to make them sound scarier and more tragic by having their powers be out of control and glitched.

74. Polaron's Death- The most famous monster, I think, is Polaron. Believe it or not, I didn't actually plan for him to die so early on. I actually wished he survived, but at the time I was getting pressured a lot to kill bad guys off and wrote myself into a corner by having him figure out who Hope was, so I had no real choice but to kill him off in order to make it make sense. He was an interesting character, and I plan to maybe do more with him through flashbacks.

75. Domain Expansions?- Yes. A lot of realm powers were inspired by Dominion Expansions. Sky's was actually based off a power from Hero Killer, though.

76. Dragons- Dragons have been a weird element of the story. I love dragons and have tried to include a lot of them. Hope's powers came off very much like a dragon early on, and we've seen people like Drake, Wyvern, and Draco. The Emperor also turned into a dragon at one point and summoned Lucky, his dragon, which Jack and Sky have also both summoned at one point. I enjoy dragons, and so we'll likely be seeing more out of them, but they're an element I sort of just threw into the story since I thought it'd be cool.

77. Flower Names- You might have noticed the longer you read Spectacular World that all cities had a theme. Since I can remember, one habit I've always had as a writer is naming locations after flowers. To be honest, I'm not sure why I do it, but I do. Because of this, all cities are easy for me to remember since I named them after flowers. I also named cities in the current arc after trees to show how cocky the villains were since trees are bigger than flowers.

78. Oleander- Likewise, going into this, Oleander City has its name based off of the oleander flower. It's a very deadly and poisonous flower, and I thought it would fit as the perfect name for the starting city. A lot of cities got their names based off of how they are, which is what determined the flower that connected them. Oleander is the main one, though, and the most important city in the narrative of the series since Hope is from it.

79. Stepping Into the Shoes- Editor, again! These next few facts are going to be from me. Obviously, as the editor, my job is to check the chapters for errors and to let the author know if anything might need changing, plot-wise. Some things I notice and can think of some tweaks. Sometimes, alas, I can't. But, rarely, the author needs a small respite, or they are simply way too busy. In these moments, I step up and actually write some parts. Mostly, this is limited to small scenes, but I've actually written entire sections of battles! The biggest example of this is the battle featuring a young Max Lightning and company against the Emperor's minions. (Another little fun fact: in that battle, Max Lightning showcases an ability to create realms; the one featured was actually inspired by the Nameless King's arena from Dark Souls 3.)

80. Throwaway Heroes- So, like I said before, as the editor, I occasionally have to pick up the metaphorical pen. This can also include whenever the author needs minor characters to be included in a scene. The big example of this is the Beast fight. Initially, that fight mainly focused on previously established and shown heroes. But, when the author wanted to add a few characters to really emphasize the overwhelming nature of the fight, they decided to create a few characters (some of which they went back and seeded into the story) and had me write small scenes for them in the Beast fight.

81. Time. What is it?- Still here! The author and I live quite far apart. How far apart, you ask? Well, far enough to have a 6-hour time difference. Luckily, this doesn't impact my ability to edit the chapters as they come out. On the subject of time, a chapter can take a while to write, though the author does tend to write quickly. The time for editing can vary, depending on the chapter. On average, a 5k-word chapter will take me about 25 minutes to get through on the first check. As for how many chapters are written in a week, the author's tried out a few schedules but settled on three chapters per week, though this can shift.

82. No Capes!- In the current version of the story, people get their powers from a Super Ego (essentially, an extra soul). This wasn't always the case, though! At one point, heroes gained their powers from their capes, with a few exceptions of characters with powers independent of capes. Obviously, this idea got scrapped. In fact, not many characters actually have outfits with capes!

83. The Wasteland- Part of the story focuses on a journey into the Wasteland. As the author previously mentioned, the story is actually in a post-apocalypse (or post-post-apocalypse?). One aspect of this is the Wasteland. This wasn't a part of the world that the author initially intended to explore much, beyond the villages and smaller cities outside of the main cities. But I saw this world of people thriving after disaster and wondered, "What's it like out there?" The author noticed this interest and decided to actually touch on the Wasteland itself a bit more.

84. References galore.- In an earlier time, the story actually had a lot more references to other media. Obviously, in these facts, both the author and I talk about what inspired parts of the story and characters, but we try to avoid references to actual films, games, and characters. But, before one of a few rewrites, the story actually had obvious nods to other things, like going 'Super Saiyan.' Myth's forms are one of the extra obvious ones that remained, though the names of the creatures he turns into were scrubbed from the story, though they obviously remained to hint at the future's post-post-apocalypse nature.

85. A Librarian.- So, I've mentioned before that Myth is my (the editor) favorite character. One thing that you might ask is why is he a librarian? Obviously, part of this is due to him previously being Minotaur Librarian, though there's more to it. In his early iterations, he actually ran his own bookstore, which he used as a base. Over time, this got changed to a library, and the base was moved to a separate location. On top of the funny mental image of a Minotaur running a library, this was actually our decision to really showcase his calmer, more serene side.

86. Intake - One of the core villains of part one is Intake, who shows up early as Hope's first major villain. Obviously, part of the inspiration for Intake was Kevin Levin from Ben 10, though obviously changed to be more monstrous. Intake has managed to keep at least some relevance in the story, making it all the way to the fight with Legend. Alas, not everything can last forever, and we feel like Intake has gotten his money's worth of story and deserves his retirement from the story, though there's always a chance for him to return...

87. Enforcers - So, like I mentioned before, as the editor, I sometimes have to pick up the mantle of author for brief moments. But, there's more to it! At one point, the story was called Enforcers, and Sub Enforcers was going to be a side story that I was going to be in charge of writing. It would have focused on a small team of teenage supers learning how to be heroes without signing up to the Hero Branch. This idea was dropped, obviously, and the Sub Enforcers were absorbed back into the main story and tweaked to be Hero Branch affiliated.

88. The Hero Branch - To touch on the Hero Branch a little, they've had varying levels of interaction in the story's versions. In the current iteration, they play a pretty significant part, from backing official heroes and their teams to employing Full Monarch and the Victorian. As the story developed, the author wanted to be revealed as a faction that meant good, but ultimately ends up being overbearing and almost oppressive.

89. Where'd they go?- This story has a lot of characters. A truly ridiculous amount, most of which can be found in the part one databook. Sadly, though, not every character we make clings on. Some are dropped, but then manage to resurface in smaller roles. The biggest example of this is Enlightened Cockroach, a character that was initially intended to be a major antagonist for Minotaur Librarian, alongside a vampire sorcerer (which is where he would have gained his vampiric spellbook and some new powers). There's more, and who knows? They might get moments in part three. (And that's the last fact from me, folks.—Sunny)

90. Why Even Have An Editor- If you're wondering why the last few slides weren't me, it's because I was at work and too busy! I thought this would be done two days ago, so needless to say, I'm behind... Anyways, why do I even have an editor if they still fail to catch many mistakes? Well, believe it or not, my writing is truly bad, and the editor is what makes it at least semi-readable. There are way worse sentences and phrases that slip in on first drafts! I like to think I've gotten a little better, but to be honest, English is something that is really hard for me to deal with sometimes, hence needing Sunny to read over things at least once. Thankfully, a lot of readers usually point out mistakes! That makes me happy!

91. The Previous World- As it's been mentioned throughout the story, the world of Spectacular World used to be our Earth, before everything changed when the Lords arrived. Things like New York and other places existed, meaning the Lords showed up around modern times. I do have an exact time and what happened, but that is something I'm waiting to show off when we get to the actual section that it becomes important in. For now, know that it was 2020+ that they showed up, and their arriving is where history took a drastic turn. The Shadow eventually showed up, and everything sort of went wrong.

92. The Beast/End Bringers- I brought up how Worm, Parahuman, was a big inspiration for my work, and so it shouldn't be that shocking that The Beast was in a lot of ways inspired by the End Bringers. In fact, the Beast itself is in a way all the End Bringers rolled up into one. It's this powerful force of nature. My starting ideas only included Stand Tall, who would have been the main villain, and the Emperor/Jack. The Beast was included around the time I was reading Worm, which is why it has so many nods to that. The Beast is the fourth strongest entity in the series, in fact!

93. Power Scaling- Going into the power scale of the world, if I had to list the strongest characters in order, it would look something like this. The Shadow, Full Monarch, The Brightest Star, The Beast, Half Of The Brightest Star, Jack Larison. That's right. The Lord of the Sun is on this list three times. I am the greatest Full Monarch simp that has ever lived; I'm his biggest fan.

94. Favorite Character- There's actually a joke Sunny and I have amongst each other, where they insist Jack Larison is the main character. This is backed up by the fact his name actually is said more than Cinder's... His name is said around 4000ish times, whereas Hope's is said a little over 3000. So yes, Jack/Battery is mentioned more than our actual main character. At one point he was actually going to be the main character, as I said earlier, but Hope is by far a better holder of that title. Jack is someone set up to fail and lose. His main existence is a cosmic joke, and he's someone that the narrative of the plot would never let win, so by proxy Hope fills that role far better. That said, if you do want to know my favorite character, it's obviously Full Monarch.

95. The Shadow Is- Going into another concept, The Shadow has had many different names since I worked on this series. It's a concept that in a lot of ways is the reason this series exists. It's one of the most important characters in the verse. It was at one point planned to be the heart of Earth and would be in the background guiding Stand Tall and getting him to wipe out the human race. I decided that was too small, though, and so I reworked it... The Shadow is so much bigger now. It is above the writing of the plot itself, and a being that I honestly don't know how I'm going to write out of the story, since it is the black of the words and the white of the page. The Shadow is... One day we might see more of it, but who knows?

96. Ego/Soul- Ego was first mentioned near the end of part one of the story and was later explained to be where powers come from. All people have an Ego inside of them, which later gets renamed or dumbed down to just mean Soul. Soul and Ego are the same. Supers, of course, have two Egos/Souls. Their human half is the one in control, but they also have a Super Ego/Soul which gives them their powers. What makes the Lords and Rulers so special is they can have three souls. Normally when a third soul is placed into the body, it causes the human half to collapse, which creates a monster. Lords have the Lordian Soul, though, which can stay inside the body next to a human soul and a Super Soul. This is how characters like Sini later gained mental-based powers. He was the Lord of the Sea and Depths, but he also eventually awakened a Super soul that was his mental powers. Lois, too, has her Super Soul and her Lord Soul, as does Sky. Poseidon and Hope don't actually have Super Souls. Hope herself has a very butchered soul and is sort of a half monster since she is just one single soul that has been stitched together. Rulers, like Lords, can have three Souls, but the Ruler Ego isn't there to help them. It instead filters itself into the other two souls, slowly replacing them. A true Ruler is someone who has their Super and Human Soul fully replaced. Basically they then have three Ruler Souls, two of which started off as a human and a Super. It's one of the reasons they grow in power with each revive, since they're basically gaining a second or even third Ego near the level of a Lord. Ruler Egos are also fragments of the Shadow, and its will is so powerful it can simply resurrect its host.

97. The Four Lords Ranked- If I had to give an order on the power level of each Lord, it would look something like this. Lord of the Sun and Cosmos, Lord of the Sea and Depths, Lord of the Sky and Weather, and lastly, Lord of the Land and Life. The Brightest Star gets along the most with the Prettiest Flower and keeps their sister safe. The Brightest Star also technically doesn't have a gender. The Prettiest Flower is a girl, the Tallest Wave is a man, and the Loudest Thunder is also a man, but the Brightest Star is different. It connects with its host far more than any other Lordian, and as such, it takes on the appearance and mindset of its current host. This is why it looks like an older version of Hope now. It's one of the few Lordians that loves what the Almighty created.

98. The Almighty- Speaking of the Almighty... It's something that has been mentioned only three times, all of which have been name-dropped by the Brightest Star. It's kind of important... Remember it.

99. Villain Hope- Believe it or not, at one point I had thought about having Hope become a full-on villain. Not like an evil one, but in a way she is this now. She doesn't agree with the Hero Branch and is actively working against them. My plan was for her to more or less be this but a lot darker and edgier. I ended up scrapping that, though, and giving a lot of her moments to Jack, so his edgelord arc would be cooler. I'm a big Jack fangirl also...

100. The Readers- Palindome, Karis the Sorcerer, Pinsol, JackyDeathBerg, ZIGGININJA, Jacob6446, BookWyrm2024, Jfelt, SunnyWriting, ninivianne, AsterSalvo, AbberentAuthor, soul445, CDT_Ace, TheDarkLiz, satufa, SuperBort, raldor46, Valeria_, Nayte, and all my real-life friends. This isn't even the entire list; I literally just opened up my recent messages or reader count on some sites. A lot of these people have left comments or come so far in my novel, despite all its flaws. Some showed up halfway through the story and stuck around, and others were there since the start, leaving a comment on almost every chapter. I've gotten writing tips, edit suggestions, and much more from a lot of these people. There were some days when I wanted to quit. Where I was tired or couldn't be bothered to write, but then I would get a message or a comment, and it would motivate me a bit more. In a lot of ways this story wouldn't exist without its readers. Some stories are lucky to have only a single dedicated reader. I might not be popular, my novel might not be that well known, and my rank might be low, but I can safely say I'm lucky to have the readers that I do. Thanks for reading this far, and hopefully I'll see you all two hundred chapters later!

***

Wow, this took way too long to do, and I'm going to be honest, I was really struggling near the end there to come up with some stuff...

So does anyone want 100 more facts for the next break?

I'm going to be starting a break soon. I'll be taking a step back from writing for a few weeks and collecting myself.
