Xuanyin looked at Arc and his scent entered her nose, it was intoxicating she couldn't hold herself back anymore
Arc saw Xuanyin's breathing turn labored then she was gone, Arc looked around yet there was nothing he had completely lost sight of her
Before he could take a single step he felt a hand on his shoulder then suddenly he was back in his room and Xuanyin was over him
Arc looked into her blood red eyes that seemed to radiate and found that her black hair had begun to change
It began to turn white, as white as snow; he saw that Xuanyin was almost drooling as she opened her mouth
At this moment Arc felt genuine surprise and fear, because she was in fact a vampire
Before he could say another word she bite him on the neck and began drinking his blood
Arc tried struggling but the more he moved the greater a hold she had over him,
He felt his blood leave his body and a strange feeling take form; it felt extremely good almost like a drug
He knew he was supposed to ignore this feeling it was a side effect of being bit, if he gave into the pleasure; he would die of blood loss
Arc also knew the gap in power was unmistakable, he wouldn't be able to escape even if he thrashed for hours
instead of wasting his time anymore time struggling he focused all his "mana" into his heart, directly converting "mana" into blood
He would attempt to stall until Xuanyin regains her sanity, as it was clear to him she was acting out in a uncontrollable state
Xuanyin's thoughts flew rapidly as the blood reached her tongue 'Delicious, Oh my god it tastes so good'
Her instincts told her she had to stop, if she continued Arc would die; yet the taste was far better than anything she has ever had before
She pulled him closer into her arms, her large dragon wings sprouted from her back and wrapped both their bodies like a cocoon seemingly attempting to block all possible escape routes
She couldn't help but want more blood no matter how much she knew that this was wrong,
The amplification effect of the abyss have only grown stronger over the years, now reaching this point
Then she heard a sound coming from within the formation flag, This caused her to freeze and pull her mouth away from Arc's neck
At that moment Ink-star had begun to wake up due to the sounds that Arc produced while struggling for his life
Ink-star pulled his little head out of his formation flag to find his Mom sitting on Arc's chest,
Both of them were breathing heavily, Xuanyin's hair was messy and Arc's clothes were visibly damaged causing ink-star to freeze as he spoke quickly
"Sorry to interrupt, emm, i prefer a young brother if possible''
This caused Xuanyin to feel embarrassed, but she knew she had to take advantage of regaining control of her body by leaving quickly
By the time Arc and Ink-star could blink Xuanyin had already vanished, leaving a confused ink-star and a tired Arc
Having exhausted most of his "mana" Arc directly passed out, leaving ink-star feeling like he ruined the mood, completely unaware he just saved Arc's life
Xuanyin sat outside on the roof of the carriage and began catching her breath, the taste of Arc's blood was still fresh on her mind
She couldn't help but make a self-deprecating laugh while muttering "perhaps it wasn't the best idea to become a vampire"
Due to certain changes that have happened in the abyss; she feared the tribulation advancement to earth immortal
This caused her to seek other methods to prolong her life, and upon discovering the existence of vampires
She killed and absorbed a ancestor vampire to gain its eternal youth to stall until the situation in the abyss stabilized
It wasn't until after; that she realized how much worse a vampire's hunger would be when amplified by the abyss
Even now she was hardly able to control herself, thus leading to that situation with Arc
She rubbed her arm gently as she thought to herself, 'even my original outrage of losing my horn was also amplified by the abyss'
'Normally I would be extremely mad, but to chase after something that clearly has established a connection with me without making any preparations....'
She sighed heavily, feeling somewhat empty inside
Ink-star brought her some true joy something she hasn't felt in a long time; but she must always remain on guard
The next morning after they set off continuing their trip to the Devil Crow Valley
Arc and Xuanyin sat together at the breakfast table rather awkwardly, Aurora who was also present was still feeling some shame from what happened previously
This caused her to be lost in thought she didn't even realize how strange Arc and Xuanyin were acting towards each other
Due to what had happened last night, Xuanyin found it difficult to maintain her veil of superiority towards Arc
As for the other in the carriage, they were confused on who this new person with them was; after being informed by the sect master that it was a late stage nascent soul Dragon
Many of them ate quietly and quickly trying to minimize the possibility of angering this walking nature disaster
Wuji at first didn't recognize the "scale" of this, it was only after he realized that since the carriages stopped moving yesterday his ring had turned completely silent
He tried sending a message to the ring to see if everything was alright with him then something happened that send chills down his spine
The moment he sent the message the ring, Xuanyin looked up directly at Wuji her gaze trailed his body before landing on the ring;
A playful smile appeared on her face before turning her gaze back at Arc as she started a conversation with him regarding ink-star
Wuji then headed an aged voice in his head seemingly extremely tired,
'You idiot; if you notice I'm being silent then it's for a reason'
Wuji now understanding the gravity of the situation sent another message
'How did she hear it? Didn't you say that was impossible'
The old man's voice once again escaped the ring as he spoke
'She is in the late stage of nascent soul cultivation and a DRAGON; if any energy functions happen near her naturally she will feel it'
'Why do you think the sect master immediately activated defenses when Arc's dragon began shivering?'
'They have acute senses, higher than most other species in the universe'
This rant continued for quite awhile leaving Wuji stunned, he went from being quiet to being even more talkative than normal
While this conversation was happening Xuanyin and Arc continued to converse, though they still held reservations against each other
Xuanyin then asked a question
"what cultivation technique is ink-star currently using; it better not be a second rate human technique"
Arc's face changed slightly due to it being his own technique but he did answer the question
"He is training in the wyrm sutra codex, I will write down a copy of the technique for you to see it"
He then took out his pen and a empty notebook and began writing down the technique
Xuanyin nodded slightly before saying "if it's not up to standard he will have to change his technique, my son won't be weak due to your foolishness"
This sentence seemed to have bounced around the room as the other disciples realized why she had arrived
Though this also added the question on why she allowed her son to remain in Arc's care; which many of the disciples were curious to know about, yet they didn't dare ask
Arc handed her a copy of the technique which she reviewed carefully seemingly attempting to find any flaws within
"This just barely makes the cut; though it lacks in the offensive department"
"Since it is a pure body tempering art; I will teach ink-star a offensive technique of my own to fix that weak point"
Arc nodded slightly, body cultivator do generally have a lower damage output than cultivators who specialize in spells
After that conversation ended so did breakfast and the group all split up to do their own thing
Xuanyin went off somewhere private to teach ink-star her technique, Arc decided to head to his room to start cultivating
Arc sat down and began focusing he took a deep breath and began; it was immediately like a flood
The spirit energy flew into him at a rapid rate, so much so that it caught the attention of Xuanyin making her mutter to herself
"This kid gets stranger and stranger"
Arc felt cracks all over his body, he seemed to be grinding away at his bones; down to the marrow
His internal organs weren't in much of a better position as the energy flowed through them creating micro tears that would then be stitched together by the spirit energy
His muscles, expanded before contacting seemingly endless amounts of ki was being pumped through them
Suddenly his energy condensed further before causing a pulse of energy to release from Arc's body
Arc exhaled slightly, realizing he had just advanced to stage three; having advanced Arc did not stop he made sure to continue as to stabilize his realm
Arc wasn't alone; Aurora also began cultivating, it seems that everything that happened recently had pushed them to improve their strength as quickly as possible
The energy brought in by Aurora rotated around her dantain; seemingly using centripetal force to force the spirit qi of the highest purity down to the bottom
While expelling the less pure energy into her skeletal system and muscles
This achieved the body tempering effect while also creating a highly pure liquid aura which then is delivered into her nascent soul
Her nascent soul was pitifully small, similar in size to an ant as she had just advanced; every drop of spirit energy that entered its mouth caused it to grow ever so slightly
When the nascent soul reaches the same size of the body; they have reached the late stage of nascent soul cultivation
Due to her large size; it would take Aurora much longer than the average cultivator,
Overall her power will be greater due to the increased amount of energy available
Aurora felt the spirit qi in the air increasing; even though they were in separate rooms, Arc acted like a spirit energy gathering array
Though for someone in her realm the increase wasn't substantial, it did bring a smile to her face knowing that she and Arc were both working hard together
Meanwhile Xuanyin was still instructing ink-star on the technique that she created
"Reverse the flow of your aura, by nature aura goes inwards; due to us pulling aura into our bodies from the air"
"Exhale your aura in the same manner, control your release so that the energies are concentrated upon one point",
"Take that point of energy towards the limit of your range"
Ink-star hearing the instructions began replicating it; it was far more difficult than he would have expected
This was unlike casting a spell, since he retained control over the energies long after he brought it out
If put into words, he felt like a better description would be that he turned his dantain inside out
His body continued to absorb more spirit qi yet it would feed this singular, no longer limited by the size of his dantain
The greater the aura the shorter the range of his control forcing him to pull back the aura only for him to hear a voice when he attempted
"Stop, you will maintain that range for the entire duration of the technique; if you try decreasing the range you will be punished"
Xuanyin spoke swiftly and coldly unlike the tone she had used to ink-star previously
Ink-star through their connection knew that this was tough love, wanting to see him improve in power
With that thought in his mind he gritted his teeth and began attempting to do as she said
It felt like he was trying to hold a motion sensor bomb steady with a ten foot pool
After a few minutes he couldn't hold it any longer and the orb of energy exploded since he wasn't maintaining its density
Just as it was about to damage to room the aura seemed to freeze in the air before being pulled into Xuanyin's hand as she spoke
"Not bad; this was pretty good for your first attempt, but for you to be considered good at energy manipulation you need go be able to do it for at least an hour"
Ink-star felt as though tear's would form in his eyes as he thought to himself , 'how could i possibly maintain an ever growing ball of energy for an hour?!?'
Seeing his face Xuanyin smiled lightly as the ball of energy condensed further turning into a liquid then rotating as more energy flew into it
A few minutes later she was holding a spirit stone, Ink-star's eyes opened wide he had no idea something like this was possible
"This is one of the applications of the technique but i rarely use it like this, it's better as a long range attack; like the time i hit Aurora with it"
Xuanyin spoke proudly, though her last words brought a twitch to ink-star's eyes as he pretended he didn't hear it
"You will start practicing that everyday until you can maintain it for an hour, and depending on how fast you can learn it; i might reward you"
Xuanyin spoke clearly attempting to motivate ink-star
Ink-star nodded
"Okay ima go tell Arc"
Xuanyin hearing his name couldn't help but feel hungry once more, this time it wasn't amplified by the abyss making it manageable
She licked her lips remembering the taste, as she muttered to herself
'Well he didn't complain after yesterday so he probably would'nt mind if i took a small bite'
She then spoke to ink-star, "i'll come too I have to ask him something"
Ink-star then jumped into her arms seemingly enjoying her presence as they walked to met Arc
When Arc opened the door to find a white haired Xuanyin he froze seemingly understanding what was about to happen
"Ink-star sweetheart, im going talk to your dad real quick go wait in your formation flag, i will call you when we are done"
Xuanyin spoke calmly, her eyes locked directly into Arc's neck
Ink-star compiled completely unaware of what Xuanyin wad planning
Xuanyin humming slightly began walking towards Arc, instinctively Arc backed up looking for an exit
This caused Xuanyin to smile slightly as she spoke gently
"Don't worry; i'm in control this time, you aren't in any danger"
Before Arc could get a word in, Xuanyin pushed him down onto his bed climbing onto him
Arc felt fear, this was worse than when she acted out of control, as Arc understood why she had done it
Xuanyin was far to prideful, acting out of control hurt her pride significantly; thus she was lashing out
Attempting to offset her failure, with the fear and control she would hold over Arc
Xuanyin held Arc, she instinctively activated her wings covering Arc entire body preventing any form of escape
She looked deeply into his eyes, seemingly taking pleasure in his fear; she whispered gently into his ear as she ran her hand through his hair
"Don't worry pet, it will be over soon''
Arc trembled at her words, as he worried for his future; since she has made it clear that she wouldn't leave until ink-star reached adulthood
Xuanyin the took a bite out of his neck and began drinking his blood, she still found it to be the most delicious thing she had ever eaten
Arc felt a wave of pleasure unlike anything he bas ever had, yesterday due to her hunger she was eating as fast as possible
This time Xuanyin took her time to enjoy the flavors causing the pleasure transmitted to Arc to increase dramatically
Suddenly it stopped as she whispered once more into his ear seemingly disappointed ,
" what is wrong, i was hoping you would struggle at least a bit"
Arc spoke softly seemingly losing his strength
"Are so you weak to lose to your vampire hunger"
The first half of his sentence caused Xuanyin's face to scrunch yet the second part brought her chills
She attempted to hide the change in her expression as her thoughts bounced rapidly
'Vampires do not exist in this realm, i had to travel to the far edges of existence before i learned of them'
Xuanyin snorted loudly before speaking arrogantly
"You're so boring; making my meal sour"
She tried hiding the fact Arc gave away such information without ever realizing
Her instincts told her that Arc might be much more dangerous than he appears
That also lines up with the creation of ink-star, as even with her thousands of years of experience had never heard of someone making a real dragon in that way
With that being said she exited quickly, while looking back at her memories regarding Arc, attempting to find any other signs of this strangeness
Arc while confused felt relieved that Xuanyin backed up otherwise he would have been in a dangerous situation
If he knew what thoughts were flood her head, he would've keep quiet and allowed her to enjoy her meal
From Xuanyin's knowledge few beings have the ability to reincarnate,
The outer worldly demons from beyond the universe, and cultivator's at the stage of nascet soul
The nascent soul reincarnation was method of was to fuse or devour the soul of a newly born child
The outer realm demon's on the other hand reincarnate into the bodies of the recently dead
Once they head back to the whatever sect Arc is a member of, Xuainyin plas to research Arc's past to discover if at one point he was fatally injured yet "miraculously recovered"
Should this be a case it is very possible for him to not belong to this world or perhaps this Universe
