Avion's POV
Lilia looks at me with such worried eyes. I place my hand at the back of her head and brush her hair.
"Wait for me here, okay? Samuel, prepare some snacks for the two of us. Also, tell the maids to prepare something for Doctor Axel." Samuel speaks.
"Understood, Your Highness," he responds.
He leaves the room first. I look at Lilia again. She sighed and forced a smile. I kiss her forehead and face, and then Axel.
"Follow me in my office," I stated.
As soon as we get inside my office, we take our seats. "Your Highness, I won't beat around the bushes. What is the reason why Duchess Lilia hurt herself? Those wounds aren't a result of an accident or whatnot," he inquires.
I sighed. I told him a little background of what happened. He listened and didn't show any negative reaction.
"I see… the truth is, I want to speak with you privately because of her health condition. I may suggest that she shouldn't experience any emotional stress," Axel says.
