Kai growled low in his throat, deepening the kiss, and Samantha laughed against his mouth, her body already warming under his touch. His hand slid around her waist, tugging her closer until she was practically straddling the arm of the chair.
"You two planning to burn the place down already?" Marcus's voice rumbled from the nursery doorway.
Samantha broke the kiss, her face flushed, as Marcus walked back toward them, Nova cradled securely in one arm. Somehow, despite carrying a baby, he managed to look imposing—and devastatingly hot. He hadn't bothered putting his shirt back on after the healing chamber, and the sight of him half-dressed, his muscles rippling with every step, made Samantha's brain short-circuit.
Kai whistled low. "Damn, Marcus. At least give us a chance to pretend we're the hottest thing in the room."
Marcus arched an eyebrow, the corner of his mouth twitching upward. "Jealousy doesn't suit you, wolf."
