Above ground Oliver sat beside Otto as he talked to a customer. Then the ground shook, causing a tremor to ripple through the ground. "What the—" All the people in the kingdom felt it, some fell at the unexpected force. Otto grabbed on to his father. "What the heck is happening?!"

The ground trembled beneath them. Amari stood up, clenching her jaw, bracing herself.
"What the hell?" Sebastion muttered,
Hundreds of monster rats that they fought before all emerged from the holes along the wall with a screech so loud it echoed.
The monsters rained down on them. "The hell?! There's more?!"
Sebastion amidly ran into the fray, cutting down many with ease. Milo drew his bow, shooting arrows as Amari ran in, her spear slicing more of them down, picking up Milo's arrows along the way and throwing them back to him as Alex and Jamie jumped into the fray as well.
Aaron felt the ground shake beneath him.
Just then the monstrous rat emerged from the ground beneath him, fist outstretched, and as the punch connected with Aaron's chin, the monstrous rat uppercutted Aaron, sending him flying back.
"Aaron!!" The group's eyes widened as they shouted his name.
"Shi-!" Amari swung down, cutting a rat cleanly in half. "Sebastion!" She yelled out, "Help, Aaron!" Sebastion nodded running past her. He ran in a familiar zigzag pattern, from side to side, getting closer and closer, building speed, and running circles around the monster over and over before jumping above the monster with his sword ready. However, instead of the attack landing
The monster grabbed Sebastion by his neck.
And slammed him into the ground with sadistic glee. The air was sucked out of Sebastion's lungs, but the monster wasn't done yet. He kicked Sebastion into the wall, causing a crack to form. Running up to Sebastion he grabbed his head before dragging him across the entire wall. Seeing what was happening, Amari rushed forward with wide eyes. "Haste," she said, her eyes trying to track the two. "Come on..." Monster rats tried to attack her, but Amari grabbed her daggers and threw them at the monster rats, connecting as she ran past. Alex and Jamie cut down any that tried to attack her, and Milo shot arrows.
"Faster... Faster!"
The monster went for the ending attack a punch winded back with a grin that sent shivers down the spine of anybody that looked at it.
The fist came closer and closer to Sebastion's face.
Sebastion gets tackled out of the way, and an iron-black spear collided with the monster's shoulder.
After Amari tackled him, Amari and Sebastion rolled across the ground. Amari felt the scrapes forming on her skin as she rolled. "Sebastion!" she called, slightly out of breath. Sebastion coughed, gasping for air, blood dripped from him to the ground beneath him. Every breath he took caused him to wince in pain, and he seemed to be barely conscious.
Aaron twisted his entire body and slammed the monster into the wall. The enemy rolled out of the way before Aaron could strike once more, getting away from the wall. The monster grabbed his shoulder, seeing the blood.
Monster rats surrounded Amari and Sebastion, however before they could get any closer, Jamie and Alex came through, cutting down every single one in their way. By the time they got to the other duo, they were out of breath. Their breath was shallow as Jamie asked, "Is he… ok?" Amari nodded, "Yeah, but barely conscious." Alex exhaled, "Jamie, can you protect Sebastian?" Jamie nodded. Alex turned to Amari before handing her daggers to her. "Let's clear this place out."
Meanwhile, the monster and Aaron were in a brutal altercation, neither giving up nor giving space. The monster flipped midair to avoid a hit, just to spin and deliver a kick, which Aaron took, and grabbed the monster's leg and threw the monster to the ground. He pointed his spear downwards and swung down.
Thump!
The spear left an indent in the ground where the monster once lay.
The rest of the group finished off the last of the monster rats.
The entire group faced the throne and mountain of bodies where the monster stood once more. "I suppose... it's time to stop playing with my food."
