Jacquelyn turned to look at Chaos. Was this really what he wanted? A family, with Kael as the father and her as the mother. Even Iva and Ballister looked younger than he was. It was really a perfect picture, one happy family.
It made Jacquelyn have second thoughts about bringing the boy back. What if this was where he wanted to be? He looked peaceful and really happy. He smiled genuinely and looked even more mature in this world. What if they brought him back and Chaos turned back to hating them? If this was where he wanted to be, then the boy wouldn't want to be disturbed.
"Husband," Jacquelyn tapped Kael, "Chaos looks happy. What if he doesn't want to return? Their family is... they look perfect."
Kael nodded in agreement. "Nearly perfect."
This made Jacquelyn swiftly turn her neck, staring at Kael, with confusion etched on her forehead. "Nearly?" She wanted to know what was missing in the beautiful family. Or was he just trying to be his sadistic self and tease Chaos?
