Researchers have more curiosity than ordinary people. They might not be interested if they hadn't seen any data from it, but they might become interested once they saw some data from the human experiments that had been conducted.
Luciel doesn't understand much about the data that were gathered from the human experiments because it wasn't part of his expertise, but he still had a great understanding of human nature.
Those researchers could certainly see more things after seeing those data than he could, but even if they currently don't agree with the human experiments, some of them would still be tempted in the future once they hit a wall or if they got too curious.
So, it's better to just clean all data up than to have more problems later on.
