Chapter 114 - Preparation

The sensation she felt led her to ask Brightness about it. "Brighty, are you able to feel that gathering of power coming from that direction?"

Brightness was taken aback by the sudden question. Instead of remaining confused, he tried to sense for anything from the direction his wife pointed out… "Hmm, I can't sense anything other than a small hint of another Dragon Lord."

Night Silver looked a little confused now, more so than before. "Am I just paranoid then?"

"Wait, let me try it again in my dragon form. My human form doesn't have the same sensitivity as my dragon form does. If what you're sensing exists, I should be able to confirm it."

Brightness jumped up into the air, with a powerful jump. Then he quickly assumed his dragon form, hovering there for a moment and began to focus. He was hovering there for the better part of an hour, but once he locked on, he felt the full scope of what his mate had been sensing. He landed, remaining in dragon form.

"Sil, this is bad. The power over there is roughly on par with my father. That is, on par with him when he focused and cast the spell to bring you here."

Looking worried, she cursed in her mind. Then spoke. "If that's the case, Then even if we were to go and intervene right now, I doubt we would be able to win without casualties. And I'm not bringing our babies into the fight either, they haven't grown enough to handle it."

"Sil, would you please allow me to take Undine, and go warn my Brother, Tsa?"

"If they are gathering power to perform that high level summoning spell again, there's a chance that the ones they summon won't be friendly… Brighty, when you head there, I want you to make sure that Tsa knows something. Players from my world, most of them hunted dragons. They are experienced in killing them. You'd be wise not to underestimate them. Never travel alone."

"I… I see…" Brightness gulped. "So there is a high chance they aren't going to be friendly."

"I'm going to begin construction on a self-sufficient underground shelter. It's going to take a lot of work to pull this off. I hope there's enough time."

Undine, flew over after seeing what happened. "Hey, what's wrong Brighty? You don't take your dragon form in the city. It's odd-" The situation was quickly explained. "Oh no, that's very bad. How long do we have Brighty? Before the spell is cast?"

"Um, I'm not sure exactly, but I don't think that it will be easy for my mother to pull that spell off. Definitely not as easily as my father had. We should have anywhere from a few years, to a decade, maybe two. Though, I'm not entirely certain. It could be more, or it could be less."

"Then there's no time to waste! Let's go and warn our family in Tsa's nation. They need to be warned! If what you said about that spell, having targeted World Level Items. That means there isn't anyone other than the top guilds that'll make their way here. And all of them are professional Dragon Hunters."

"That's right, this is very bad. I wish I could go stop them myself. But if they turned that much power on me… I don't think I'd survive. Plus, there's the issue of too many of them, and they are technically relatives…"

"Don't worry, Sil. I'll always take your side. I only ask that you don't go and do anything crazy. If they succeed in bringing more of those players here, there is a possibility that the players will confront my mother and her thunder."

"True, but even so, I'd still like to be prepared in the event the players come our way."

Undine jumped onto Brightness' back. "Well then, it sounds like you'll be creating a bunch of those fae, and other summons. We won't be gone long, so take care of our precious children."

Brightness and Undine flew off, making their way towards Tsa, and his domain. The two talked a lot on the way, mostly laced with their feelings for each other, Night Silver, and all of their children the three of them had together.

Meanwhile, Night Silver was left to lead the place on her own. Well, mostly on her own. She still had her two brother-in-laws, Moigit and Frayrsis. Both of which had grown into full fledged True Dragon Lords now, gaining their preferred elements and everything. As a result they were capable of demonstrating strength comparable to that of a lvl 75 dragons. Even so, with a solid strategy, it would only take roughly 20 of the Fae creatures she makes to defeat them. Considering that she can make around that many every day, the dragons weren't that impressive.

"Well, it seems like all I can do now is to prepare for the eventual chaos. Dealing with a handful of players will be far easier than dealing with that freakish collective of power. And once they manage to use the spell… That energy will dissipate, leaving them weak enough to no longer pose a threat. Good… This will work out nice. Perhaps we might even get lucky with it, and have my friends summoned. Wouldn't that be nice?" With a smirk, she went to work.

Preparation for a potential conflict began en masse. Night Silver, used her magic to carve out large swaths of underground facilities, tunnels, rooms, and all the needs of the nation. Her children would help out in the carving from time to time, along with the aid of other Druids and Mages all eager to learn more.

It didn't take long for everyone to finish building the first layer of the underground living area. And it was after that first one, that Night Silver made a decision.

"Alright children. I want you all to work together. You'll be working on building a second layer to the bunker. You are free to ask for our help whenever, but I'd like you to do as much of the actual work yourselves. I'm curious to see what you come up with."

"Mother? You mean, we get to design it, and build it?"

"That's right!"

"So that means if we make a whole bunch of carvings…"

"Yep, let your imaginations go wild. If it ends up being loved by all, I'll make sure it gets added to the first layer too."

"YAY! Let's work hard brothers and sisters!"
