Chris took a direct flight to Star Moon Province.
The flight lasted five hours.
So, Chris departed at 7:00 in the morning and arrived at his destination at 12:00, just in time to have lunch with Trevor before heading to Star Moon Gym.
If everything went smoothly with no unexpected delays, he planned to collect the items himself, stay overnight, and return early the next morning.
During the flight, Chris browsed the news on his phone.
Regigigas in the Mayan Forest
He clicked to check the details.
It turned out that Landorus, who had previously been defeated by Regigigas, had returned to the Mayan Forest and, for some unknown reason, had fallen into a frenzy.
In its rage, it triggered a series of devastating Fissures, causing an avalanche. Just as before, Regigigas reappeared and overpowered it.
This time, instead of sending Landorus flying, Regigigas slammed it straight into the ground.
According to reports from experts, the impact buried Landorus thousands of meters underground—so deep that the magma belt of the Mayan Volcano was visible.
However, given Landorus' divine status, it was unlikely to be taken down so easily.
"Poor Landorus," Chris thought to himself, feeling a hint of sympathy. But there was no way he would return Landorus's Treasure to it.
Still, if he grew stronger in the future, perhaps he could capture it.
At that time, there would be no harm in returning Landorus's Treasure to its rightful owner.
When the plane landed at Star Moon Airport, Chris exited the terminal to find Trevor already waiting for him, wearing sunglasses and holding luggage. Beside him stood a familiar face—Charlotte.
"Chris! Over here!" Trevor removed his sunglasses and waved.
Chris slung his bag over his shoulder and walked over.
"Sorry to keep you waiting."
"It's no problem. I only got here about 20 minutes before you. Come on, let's grab a meal first—the in-flight food was awful," Trevor said, leading the way.
Charlotte drove the car, taking them to a well-known local restaurant in the city that specialized in fried dishes. After enjoying their meal, they headed to Star Moon Gym at 1:30 in the afternoon.
The gym was located outside the city, deep in an old forest road. As a Grass-type Gym, its placement in the heart of nature was fitting.
"Chris, if the trainers at our Gym give you a hard time later, don't hold back on my account. Just teach them a lesson," Trevor suddenly said as they neared the Gym.
Chris raised an eyebrow. "How bad are we talking? What kind of trouble?"
"Jayden is well-liked at the Gym, so there might be a few people who aren't happy with you and try to cause trouble," Trevor explained.
Chris nodded. "Don't worry. If they challenge me, I'll make sure they regret it."
With his current strength, the only person in Star Moon Gym worth his attention was Robert, the Gym Leader. As for the other trainers, they weren't even a concern.
Besides, with his teacher backing him, even if something happened, they wouldn't be able to do anything to him as long as he was in the right.
Chris actually hoped someone would try to provoke him. It would be a good opportunity to establish his reputation, ensuring that no one would dare to pick on his younger teammates in the future.
The car stopped outside a wooded area where a small estate with a spacious parking lot served as the reception area for Star Moon Gym.
They parked the car, passed through the estate, and followed a forest path. Trevor and Charlotte led Chris into the dense greenery.
The moment he stepped in, Chris caught a fresh, unfamiliar scent in the air. The surroundings felt exceptionally vibrant.
The flowers were delicate and beautiful, the trees lush and shady, and the birds chirped loud and clear. Beneath their feet, a long bluestone path stretched deep into the forest, creating a mesmerizing scene.
After walking a few steps, Chris spotted a small family of Grass-type Pokémon—Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, and Bellossom—traveling together under a large tree.
Not far away, a group of Deerling with brown backs and yellow patterns darted gracefully through the forest.
Deerling's coat changes with the seasons, and their brown backs with yellow flowers indicated their winter form.
As soon as Charlotte reached out her hand, the Deerlings eagerly bounded over, nuzzling against her fingers.
A short distance away, their parents—two winter-form Sawsbuck—kept a watchful eye on Chris, a newcomer.
Sawsbuck's winter form had majestic white antlers, and its thick fur resembled a white scarf draped over its neck, with four white tufts around its legs like wristbands.
Crossing a small lake, Chris noticed Ludicolo lounging on the surface, while Lombre and Lotad swam nearby. Many Grass-type Pokémon gathered at the water's edge to drink.
Breloom, Jumpluff, Shiftry, Roselia, and even several Bulbasaur, Chikorita, and Grovyle populated the area, thriving in this serene environment.
"There are so many Grass-type Pokémon here," Chris remarked.
"Of course! This is a dedicated ranch for Grass-types. Most of the Grass-type Pokémon in this region can be found here," Charlotte said proudly.
"My father placed the Gym inside the ranch to take better care of them."
Trevor added, "Thanks to our teacher's care, the Grass-type Pokémon here are far stronger than their wild counterparts, both in terms of potential and battle prowess. That's why most of the Grass Pokémon we train and capture come from this pasture."
Chris nodded. This was a common practice.
He had heard of many Gym Leaders situating their Gyms near Pokémon ranches. Take, for example, his senior, Alexis.
His Gym—the Ice Dragon Gym—was located atop a snowy mountain, which doubled as a ranch for raising Pokémon.
Dragon-Type pokemon roamed the lower valleys, while the mountain's snow-covered peak served as both the habitat for Ice-type Pokémon and the location of the Gym itself.
According to Alexis, the Dragon-Type Pokémon raised there had a natural resistance to Ice-type moves compared to regular Dragon-types.
While normal Dragon Pokémon would take double damage from Ice moves, his trained dragons would only take around 1.7 to 1.8 times the usual damage.
Alexis wasn't the only Gym Leader with such a setup. Many preferred raising their own unique Pokémon to give their Gyms an advantage.
After crossing the lake, they arrived at the entrance of the Gym. Before stepping inside, Chris noticed a slender young girl who bore a striking resemblance to Charlotte.
She was Robert's eldest daughter, Grace.
"Welcome" she said with a warm smile. "My father asked me to wait for you here."
