Lucien stayed with us for a bit, and Ama kept on wiggling her eyebrows as if she is having a brain malfunction.
When it was time for him to leave, I decide to walk him out of the house.
I linger on the doorway, and I say, "Thank you for taking care of me Lucien. You did not have to, but you did, and I am grateful even though I kept on telling you to leave me alone."
He smiles at that. "I really am grateful for everything especially the food." I tell him because he does deserve to be thanked. He helped me, and now I feel better. I am tempted to also thank him for the forehead kiss, but I do not say that to avoid awkwardness between us.
"It really is fine. Like I said, you are the mother of my children, and I care about you," he says.
I smile at him, and wave at him telling him goodnight. He tells me good night, and drives off. I breath out a sigh of relief, and I enter my house.
"Did you guys kiss?" Ama asks startling me immediately.
