Chapter 360 - Chapter 361: Directly Rejected

"How about it? Isn't this a brilliant proposal?" Tony thought there couldn't be a better idea than this. If Alan approved, Captain America would have no reason to object.

"No." Alan outright rejected Tony's proposal. He suddenly felt a bit exhausted—there was no need for Ultron to exist.

Tony felt like he'd been hit over the head when he heard the rejection. He was momentarily dumbfounded—he had been certain that Alan would support him. It never even crossed his mind that Alan would refuse.

"Why? Isn't this the best way to reduce casualties? Machines don't feel pain..." Tony just wanted Alan to give him a reason.

"Not all artificial intelligence will be like Jarvis." Alan sighed. Fortunately, Tony and Banner had at least brought it up in advance this time.

Otherwise, if they had operated in secret again and created another robot uprising against humanity, cleaning up the mess would be a real headache. Alan hadn't had a vacation in a long time.

"But I have a suggestion—why not create them, but have you, Banner, or Jarvis control them? There's no need to upload human consciousness into them."

Alan believed that once machines gained human consciousness, the consequences would be entirely predictable. He couldn't help but wonder—Wanda hadn't even messed with Tony's mind, so how did things still turn out this way?

Maybe he really should get Wanda to come over and give Tony a little brainwashing.

"The Sanctum Sanctorum was attacked by aliens. I..." Tony hesitated. Steve suddenly turned his head and stared at Tony.

In that moment, Steve seemed to understand why Tony was so obsessed with the peacekeeping program.

"I get it. Well, since everyone's here..." Alan knew one thing for sure—uniting to take down Thanos would be a good thing for the entire universe.

That freakishly shaped chin of Thanos' belonged to a complete lunatic—his so-called tragic empathy was nothing but self-righteous hypocrisy. If he really thought the universe was beyond saving, why didn't he just end himself?

What gave Thanos the right to decide life and death for others?

Without a doubt, he was a hypocrite. Alan had always hated this guy, no matter what.

At this moment, Alan chose to reveal Thanos' plan—seeking the Infinity Stones just to snap his fingers and erase half the universe's population, all for the sake of his so-called "ideal world."

The idea of building robots wasn't bad, but there was no need to grant them human consciousness. Simply programming them to protect humanity would be enough.

As Alan explained, the Avengers' base fell into complete silence.

Thor suddenly grinned incredulously. "That's insane. I'm going to Titan right now and killing him!"

"You can't do it alone," Alan bluntly shot him down. Even as the son of a god, Thor wouldn't stand a chance against Thanos on his own.

"Then what are our chances if we all go together?" Tony rested his chin on his hand, his expression serious. What if the entire Avengers team fought together?

"We need to be fully prepared. Acting recklessly will only lead to failure," Alan said softly.

They had to make meticulous preparations and then go straight to Titan to take Thanos' head. But the sheer size of his army...

If they charged in blindly, casualties would be inevitable. As Emperor, Alan couldn't just watch people rush to their deaths.

"Alan is right. Acting recklessly is never a good choice. Now, I support Stark's proposal," Steve said with a smile.
