The cavern walls loomed high above, resembling a grotesque, half-submerged palace. Jagged stalactites hung like teeth from the ceiling, and eerie blue crystals illuminated the twisting halls with an underwater glow. A place built for creatures of the deep — not for humans.
Li An's boots barely made a sound as she sprinted through the entrance, her two swords, one she was carrying and the other one she took from one of the guards, flashing like silver arcs.
