Chapter 19 - CHAPTER 19 : A PIECE OF OUR MINDS

"I have had enough of all of this!" the Demon Lord roared, his attention fixed on Darwin, Ashton, and Oscar.

"Scared of dying?" Ashton quipped, a wry expression on his face.

"Insolent fools! Nitwits like you are no match for me!" the Demon Lord scoffed, dodging a fiery blast from Oscar.

Darwin, a blur of motion, continued his relentless assault with his axe, but the Demon Lord effortlessly intercepted each strike.

"Truly, you are strong, and you can easily defeat us individually," Ashton conceded, panting slightly, "but when we work together, we can definitely give you a hard time, and there's a slight chance we can even kill you." He charged again.

"Thank you, guys. Go rest. Let me take it from here," Hazel said, stepping onto the ravaged battlefield.

"You should go and rest, fool! Trying to act like the strongest again!" Darwin shouted disrespectfully.

"I mean it. Move out of the way. This battle is mine to fight," Hazel said, his body shimmering as he transformed into his god mode.

Seeing the deadly seriousness in Hazel's eyes, Darwin finally ceased his attack and backed away, followed by Ashton and Oscar.

"Don't you dare die! I want to be the one to kill you!" Darwin yelled at Hazel.

"I'm not going to be the one dying here," Hazel replied, his gaze locked on the Demon Lord.

Darwin, Ashton, and Oscar retreated, leaving Hazel alone to face the defeated Demon Lord.

"Sorry, I lost control earlier, so I was unable to kill you," Hazel said, his voice cold. "But this time will be different."

"Oh, really?" the Demon Lord sneered weakly.

"Yeah, you better say your prayers," Hazel said, his eyes burning with intent.

In a flash, Hazel appeared before the Demon Lord, his hands clamping onto the demon's head. With a swift, brutal motion, he sliced through the Demon Lord's neck with his bare hands, the severed head falling to the blood-soaked ground.

Those watching the fight were left speechless, their mouths agape at the sheer speed and brutality of Hazel's attack.

"What the f*ck?! You could have done that from the beginning! Then why didn't you, you goddamn idiot?!" Darwin roared at Hazel, his disrespect bordering on disbelief.

"Don't be fooled. He's not dead yet. His soul still lives, looking for a body to possess," Hazel replied, his gaze intent.

As the Demon Lord's lifeless body fell, his soul attempted to flee, seeking a new vessel. But Hazel, with his Soul Reaper senses, intercepted the escaping soul, trapping it in his Soul Torment.

For three agonizing days, Hazel relentlessly tormented the Demon Lord's soul, the pain a twisted echo of his grief for Blossom. Finally, his vengeance sated, Hazel decided to end the tormented existence.

"Why... why do you have to do this to me?" the Demon Lord's soul wailed, lost in an abyss of pain.

"Why? Why? Why?! You really have the gall to ask that question?" Hazel retorted, his voice laced with bitter anger.

"Die," Hazel said, his hand phasing through the tormented soul, tearing it apart until nothing remained.

Hazel collapsed, unconscious.

He awoke slowly, his eyes focusing on Alexa, who was asleep beside him, her head resting on the edge of the bed. It seemed she had been watching over him since he fell unconscious.

Hazel sat up, gently placing his hand on Alexa's head and offering a small smile. But the memory of Blossom crashed back, and his smile faded into a frown.

Alexa stirred, her eyes widening with joy as she saw he was awake. She leaped up to hug him tightly. "You are awake!" she exclaimed.

"Yeah," Hazel replied, his voice still weak. "How long have I been asleep?"

"For two days," Alexa answered.

"I guess I really needed to rest, huh?" Hazel murmured.

An awkward silence filled the air.

Oscar entered the room. "I can see you're doing better," he said to Hazel.

"Yeah," Hazel replied simply.

"Oh, mister strongest is awake," Darwin quipped as he entered with Ashton, Mia, and Shadow.

"Glad to see you're feeling better," Ashton added. "Anyways, I don't have time for this," Hazel said, swinging his legs over the side of the bed.

"No, you need to rest," Alexa protested.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine," Hazel assured her. "You guys should come, but you don't necessarily need to."

With that, Hazel jumped out the window.

"Like seriously, this guy just wants to kill himself," Oscar muttered in disbelief.

Ashton laughed, shaking his head at Hazel's reckless disregard for his own condition. They all followed him, jumping out the window, while Alexa and Shadow simply shadow-jumped, emerging from Hazel's shadow.

Hazel stood in an open area, his gaze fixed on something unseen.

"Why the f*ck did you bring us here?" Darwin demanded.

"I'm going to summon the Demon Lord's daughter," Hazel stated, his voice devoid of emotion.

"You just won't rest, will you?" Mia sighed.

"Dealing with her is a piece of cake to me, so forget about me stressing myself," Hazel said dismissively.

"Who the f*ck cares about you?" Darwin retorted.

"Shut you trap," Alexa snapped, hitting Darwin on the head.

"Loris, come before me now," Hazel commanded, his voice resonating with authority.

Instantly, a blast of blackish-red light erupted from the ground, and the Demon Lord's daughter materialized before them.

"Hey, Loris," Hazel said casually.

"How dare you call me by the name given to me by my father!" Loris hissed, her eyes burning with hatred.

She lunged to attack Hazel, but just as he raised his hand to intercept, Alexa appeared from above, delivering a powerful kick that slammed Loris into the ground.
