Chapter 305: Auto-Pilot Mode Activated

The red glow of the moon bathed the earth as its surface began to shift, revealing intricate patterns that resembled ancient runes, pulsing with a mysterious light.

These runes intertwined in the sky, forming a massive Mangekyō Sharingan that cast its power over the entire world.

Every ninja caught under the moonlight involuntarily lifted their heads, gazing at the moon above.

Their once-normal black pupils began to change. Sharingan slowly spun within their eyes, emitting an eerie glow.

Tens of thousands of ninjas stood frozen in place, as if an invisible force had bound them. The light of the Tsukuyomi enveloped them, leaving their bodies rigid, their gazes hollow and lost.

It wasn't just the ninjas on the battlefield. Every corner of the ninja world fell victim to the phenomenon.

Whether villagers in small settlements, beasts in the forests, or birds soaring through the skies—once exposed to the moonlight of the Tsukuyomi, all lost their sense of self.

Their eyes turned vacant, their souls seemingly drawn out, and their bodies involuntarily tilted upward, staring at the strange moon.

Meanwhile, across the ninja world, inconspicuous black rods controlled by White Zetsu began to emit faint light. These rods acted as signal towers, expanding the virtual space and covering the entire world.

The moonlight spread across the land, dispelling all shadows and darkness. Each beam of light was like an invisible thread, connecting every life it touched and drawing their consciousness into an illusory world.

"What's happening?"

Shisui and Yakumaru, though affected by the technique, managed to break free due to the power of their Mangekyō Sharingan before they were pulled into the virtual space.

When they regained their senses, their companions were already trapped within the Tsukuyomi space. Their eyes were wide open, staring at the sky without any reaction.

Yakumaru glanced at the Mangekyō reflected on the moon, quickly averting his gaze to avoid further influence, and lowered his head.

"Is it some kind of ocular technique projected from the Sharingan on the moon?"

Shisui mimicked Yakumaru's action, his Mangekyō Sharingan already active. "It seems that way. Thanks to the Mangekyō, we barely escaped the illusion. But other ninjas don't stand a chance."

The ability to project an ocular technique onto the moon and use it to affect the entire ninja world—this was terrifying power.

"That Mangekyō's pattern… I've never seen it before. It's not Obito or Madara. Is it yet another unknown Uchiha?"

Yakumaru's eye twitched. "Why is it that every major incident in recent years seems tied to the Uchiha clan?"

Uchiha Obito, Uchiha Madara, and now another mysterious Uchiha.

Was this clan cursed to antagonize the world? Or was the world out to get them?

Causing chaos was one thing, but tarnishing the clan's reputation was another. After this, there was no doubt that the entire ninja world would view the Uchiha clan with suspicion.

Yakumaru couldn't see what was happening elsewhere, but judging from the moon, the technique had likely spread across the entire ninja world. A technique capable of such far-reaching effects would undoubtedly provoke fear and hostility toward the Uchiha.

Of course, that was assuming there would still be a ninja world after this…

Yakumaru rubbed his temples in frustration.

Shisui remained silent. His Mangekyō scanned the surroundings. Beyond their allies, even the enemy forces from the Land of Snow had been affected. Their forces stood motionless, their gazes fixed on the moon as though their consciousness had been pulled into another dimension.

Clearly, this event wasn't Snow's doing. Otherwise, their forces would've capitalized on the opportunity to attack and seize the upper hand.

If not the Land of Snow, then… the Akatsuki?

Shisui's deduction wasn't baseless.

Releasing a genjutsu that could blanket the entire ninja world required a colossal amount of chakra—far beyond what any ordinary ninja could manage.

Currently, only three factions in the ninja world had the means to gather such vast amounts of chakra.

But now, two of those factions had been affected.

Given the Akatsuki's focus on collecting tailed beasts, and the fact that Iwagakure had lost its beast not long before this event, it was hard not to suspect their involvement.

Previously, it wasn't clear what they intended to do with the tailed beasts, but now it made sense.

Shisui turned to Yakumaru. "Yakumaru-senpai, we need to contact headquarters immediately to determine how many people haven't been affected yet. Then we need to find the mastermind behind this."

Speculation was one thing, but without evidence, Shisui didn't want his thoughts to cloud others' judgment and risk overlooking critical clues.

"Wait," Yakumaru interjected, glancing at the frozen forces of the Land of Snow. He suddenly spotted an opportunity. "Why rush? We don't even know where the mastermind is. Why not take care of the enemies here first?"

He gestured toward Snow's immobilized aerial forces and grinned. "This is a golden opportunity. We can crush Snow's sky units while they're vulnerable!"

Of course, Yakumaru wasn't naive enough to think they could topple Snow's entire military with just the two of them. But clearing out nearby enemies? That was doable.

Those irritating sky units had been a thorn in his side. Now they'd fallen right into his hands!

Yakumaru's eyes darted across the battlefield, searching for grounded units.

With the Snow forces affected by the genjutsu, their chakra armors should've dropped to the ground, right?

After scanning the area, Yakumaru found nothing. No sign of the aerial units, only shattered armor fragments left from earlier battles. His eyelid twitched in unease.

Now that he thought about it… when he had glanced at the moon earlier, hadn't he noticed some small black dots in the sky?

In the eerie silence, a series of electronic sounds broke out, soft but distinct enough for both Shisui and Yakumaru to hear.

"Combat personnel detected in genjutsu. Activating contingency protocol three. Switching to auto-pilot mode."

"Red Queen initiating control override."

"Ceasing chakra absorption from combat personnel. Switching to chakra battery power supply."

Yakumaru stiffened and looked up.

The aerial units were still hovering in the sky, and the sounds were coming from them. The faint electronic voices, though subtle, were unmistakable due to their sheer number.

"Targets detected: Uchiha Yakumaru, Uchiha Shisui. Matching profiles with database entries for Kage-level combatants. Increasing altitude. Maintaining distance."

As the Red Queen's cold, mechanical voice echoed, the armors reacted swiftly. The sounds of metal grinding and engines humming shattered the silence.

Boom!

A thunderous roar split the air as the propulsion systems on the armors ignited, spewing flames and pushing them higher into the sky.

"Locking onto targets."

The weapon systems on the armors' shoulders began charging. Blue energy beams gathered at the barrels, emitting a low hum.

"Fire."

The Red Queen's voice was devoid of emotion. As soon as the command was given, the armors unleashed their assault. Dozens of blue energy beams tore through the night sky, hurtling toward Shisui and Yakumaru with devastating force.
