Selene sat with Agnes and the other servants, waiting for any news about the humans who had tried to attack the estate.
Selene thought about the possibility of Cassandra being present at first, but she quickly went back to thinking about Xavier.
Had he come across Darius already? Was he well or injured? How much longer did he need to be away from home?
These questions repeated in her mind over and over again. They wouldn't stop until she heard that Xavier was still well.
Selene tried not to let her worry show now that she was sitting before the servants, who were also afraid. As long as she appeared composed, the servants weren't as nervous as before.
Selene continued to look out the window and noticed guards going back to their places, which meant the threat was gone.
