In fact, Qiao Yi could have adjusted her own mood even without Lu Yanchuan's comfort, but with his consolation, she immediately felt much better.

Lu Yanchuan's suggestion earned him a rewarding kiss from Qiao Yi, but then she thought of something and her mood, once lifted, fell again.
"It's easy to talk about other banquets, but there's one at the Sun Family tomorrow night, and I really have to go to that one."
Lu Yanchuan raised an eyebrow; the Lu Family, the Capital City, and the Qiao Family didn't have much to do with the Sun Family, and if there was any interaction at all, it was a relationship of mutual calculation and competition, so Qiao Yi really didn't need to force herself for the Sun Family's banquet.
