After proving my strength, I found myself being approached by Sirzechs Lucifer himself. His usual calm yet authoritative presence carried a sense of satisfaction as he walked toward me.
"You did well, Shiro," Sirzechs said with a proud smile, his crimson hair swaying slightly with his movements.
I smirked, crossing my arms. "I know."
He chuckled at my confidence before handing me a beautifully crafted wooden box. I took it without hesitation, already knowing what was inside.
"Shiro, these are your Evil Pieces," he stated.
I opened the box briefly to glance at the chess pieces inside before nodding in appreciation. "Thank you." Without another word, I used my magic to store the box away.
Sirzechs raised an eyebrow. "Where exactly did those pieces go?"
I gave a small grin, knowing this would catch his interest. "It's a spell I created. I can store anything in my personal pocket dimension. Only I have access to it, and its storage is limitless. I can keep almost anything inside."
His eyes gleamed with curiosity. "That would be extremely useful. Would you mind teaching me how to use it?"
I sighed, shaking my head. "I'm afraid that's not possible. The spell requires Voltaris to use, and only those with Voltaris can perform it. I'm really sorry."
Sirzechs simply nodded in understanding. "No need to apologize. I understand. By the way, I was quite surprised to learn that you're the Lightning Dragon Emperor."
I chuckled. "Oh, please tell me you recorded eveShirone's reactions when I revealed that."
A mischievous glint appeared in his eyes. "Of course, I did."
I laughed. "Good. That must have been priceless."
He then placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "I also want you to know that I broadcasted your fight to the other factions."
I blinked before grinning. "Cool. Let them know what they're dealing with."
Sirzechs nodded approvingly. "As for your shop, I'll need to make a few calls, but we should have everything settled soon."
"Sounds good," I replied, pleased with the progress.
As I put my hands in my pockets, Sirzechs smirked. "You should get going. There's probably a certain Neko waiting for you."
I raised an eyebrow. "You're probably right. Mind teleporting me outside her room?"
"Sure."
With a simple gesture, a magic circle appeared beneath me, and in an instant, I was outside Koneko's room.
The door was slightly cracked open, and before I could knock, I heard a familiar voice inside—Issei's.
"You should have seen it! It was just like Escanor versus Galand from Seven Deadly Sins! He was like a total badass straight out of an anime! And remember when he said, 'Only one will die'? He told that to Riser! That must've been what he meant! He's a Dragon Emperor, and he even has Dragon Slayer magic! He's so cool!"
I smirked and shook my head before stepping closer to the door. "Wow, talk about being a fanboy," I commented loudly.
Issei turned, flustered. "Hey! It's not my fault that shit was fire!"
I chuckled. "Yeah, well, I am pretty badass."
As the others started leaving the room, I stepped inside and quietly closed the door behind me. With a soft click, I locked it before turning toward Koneko. Without hesitation, I walked over to her bed and slipped in beside her, pulling her close.
She let out a small noise of surprise before relaxing against me. "Shiro?"
I hummed in response, burying my face in her hair, inhaling her comforting scent.
She hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "Sona came over earlier. She told me everything that happened."
I hummed again, lazily listening.
"I like her," Koneko admitted. "She can keep an eye on you."
I smirked against her neck. "So?"
She sighed as I nuzzled closer. "You've been clinging to me more lately. What's up with that?"
I shrugged, pressing my face into her neck. "Not sure. You just smell really good."
She let out a soft chuckle, but I could hear the warmth in her voice.
The next day, I was walking through the school grounds, enjoying the quiet when I felt it again—that same unsettling sensation.
Someone was watching me.
I stopped in my tracks and turned around quickly, scanning my surroundings. But just like before, there was no one there.
I frowned, my senses on high alert.
Shrugging it off for now, I turned back around—
And froze.
Standing in front of me was someone who sent a chill down my spine.
The moment I laid eyes on her, my instincts screamed at me to be cautious. Without hesitation, I activated Observe, my vision sharpening as lines of information flooded my mind.

My heart nearly stopped. Dragon God of Infinity? Her stats were beyond insane—she was a literal monster in human form.
I forced myself to stay calm. Just be yourself, Shiro. Don't piss her off.
Swallowing my nerves, I spoke carefully. "Hello, Ophis… Dragon God of Infinity… Great Red's little sister."
She showed no reaction. No blink, no change in expression. Nothing.
Then, without warning, she took a step toward me.
I instinctively stepped back, my body moving on its own out of pure fear.
She took another step.
I bolted.
I didn't look back. I didn't stop. I just ran like my life depended on it—because, for all I knew, it did.
Why the hell is she following me?! What did I do?!
I weaved through the streets, dodging pedestrians, leaping over obstacles, and using my agility to its fullest. But no matter how fast I ran, I couldn't shake the feeling that she was right behind me.
After what felt like an eternity, I ducked into an alleyway, panting heavily as I checked behind me.
Nothing.
I exhaled in relief. "Okay… I think I lost her."
The alley was a dead end, but that didn't matter. I could just turn around and head home—
That's when I saw her.
Standing at the entrance of the alley, blocking my only way out, was Ophis.
She had a small, playful smirk on her lips—one that, I'll admit, was kind of cute.
But right now, cute was the last thing on my mind.
I backed away slowly, my pulse pounding in my ears. Each step she took toward me sent a shiver down my spine.
My back hit the cold brick wall.
No way out.
I slid down, my legs giving out as fear took over. She finally reached me, her gaze unreadable as she raised her hand.
I clenched my eyes shut, trembling as I waited for whatever was coming next. Is this it? Am I gonna die?
But instead of pain… I felt warmth.
Two small arms wrapped around me, pulling me into an embrace. A soft hand caressed my cheek, gentle and soothing.
I opened my eyes in shock.
Ophis was hugging me.
She wasn't attacking, wasn't trying to kill me—just holding me like she had known me forever.
"Shhh… it's okay," she whispered, her voice as soft as silk. "I'm not going to hurt you, little one."
I blinked. "Huh?"
She lifted her hand, and a faint mist began to flow from her palm. As it reached me, a wave of exhaustion crashed over my body.
My eyelids grew heavy. My body felt light.
As the world faded to black, I heard her whisper one last thing.
"I love you… my mate."
