As the darkness dissipated, Emily found herself standing before the Queen of the Shadowood once again.
The Queen's eyes gleamed with approval, and a small smile played on her lips.
"Well done, Shadow Queen," the Queen said. "You have passed the first trial.
You have faced your own darkness and emerged victorious."
Emily nodded, her mind still reeling from the battle she had just fought.
She knew that she had faced a part of herself that she had never acknowledged before, and she felt a sense of pride and accomplishment.
The Queen's smile grew wider. "The first trial was just the beginning," she said. "There are two more trials to come, each one designed to test a different aspect of your power and your resolve."
Emily steeled herself, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
She knew that she had to be brave and determined if she wanted to succeed.
"What are the next two trials?" Emily asked, her voice firm.
