Gerald's breath came in sharp gasps. His hands clenched into fists, his entire body shaking.
The screen in front of him wouldn't go away.

He took a step back, his head shaking wildly. "No… No, this isn't real. It's a trick. A lie—"
Trevor sighed. "Yeah, I had that phase too."
Gerald snapped. His wide, panic-stricken eyes shot to Trevor, rage and fear twisting in them. "Shut up! Shut the hell up! I don't believe this!"
Trevor didn't react.
Daemon, however, chuckled. "Believe it or not, kid, doesn't change the fact that you're looking at that screen."
Gerald gritted his teeth. His hands clawed at his face, at his arms, at anything to ground himself in reality. "I'm not some—some fake character! I have memories, I have a life!"
