Darren's POV
The curtains blinded my view, but my nose could pick up a floral scent. It was different from Janet's perfume but slightly similar. I could even taste it a bit, and it stirred something within me. Janet closed the doors before pulling me away from the curtains.
"What did y-?"
My words were stuck in my throat. The scene that lay before me was completely unexpected. There was a king-sized bed right in the middle, covered in red sheets and a red duvet, accompanied by white pillows. The duvet wasn't quite flat at four particular points like there was something underneath. There were four large pillows and four smaller pillows. Each pillow was covered in wool cloth that accentuated its softness.
My eyes looked above the bed to see a golden crown sitting in a circle made of stars. Below the crown was a long silver bar. It had different types of cuffs locked on it. There was a small space in the wall that housed a single key, most likely for the cuffs.
