Ye Mansion, third floor.
The balcony door of the room was open, letting in a cool breeze that made the sheer canopy over the large bed sway.
A black tail swept by like a shadow, causing Ye Lan's long eyelashes to flutter slightly as she lay tranquilly on the bed.
Then, she opened her eyes wearily and glanced at her phone.
"Mmm..."
After seeing the time on it, she put the phone face down again, turned to her side cuddling her bedding, and closed her eyes.
"Creak~"
"Creak~"
But in her half-conscious state, she kept feeling like she could hear some sort of phantom noise near her ear, disturbing her just as she was about to fall back into deep sleep, causing Ye Lan to suddenly open her eyes.
She sat up, glanced toward the door, and realized it was the sound of some creature gently scratching at the door.
Ye Lan was momentarily confused, thinking that a thief had broken in, so she quickly grabbed her phone, ready to call the police.
