Thanatos looked wearily at Marco, he was now contemplating whether he should kill or seal Marco away to prevent another incident.
When he stood up Cerbi bounded over from its feast and licked Thanatos. The god was instantly covered in slobber, looking at Cerbi's abnormally serious eyes Thanatos was stunned.
It was the second time he saw that look. It was the look it gave him in the past to become the guardian of the gates of hell. It now gave him the same look as if asking him to trust his judgement that Marco would not be a treat to them.
For a long minute Thanatos kept looking into Cerbi's serious gaze. He was at a cross roads, he was contemplating between 'guaranteeing' to resolve a potential threat or trust in it's companion.
He knew that both choices had potentially nuclear consequences. For starters, if he killed Marco, he would incur the wrath of Aphrodite, the general of fog and a mad warrior from old.
Not to mention that he would spit in Cerbi's face by completely disregarding his judgement.
On the other hand, if Marco became a threat in the future... He could only foresee every pantheon banning together simultaneously to get rid of someone like him.
A man that possessed more energy than a god king can cause a ton of damage, especially in gorilla warfare when Marco can hit strategic points to gain more advantages.
Thanatos was now stuck between a rock and a hard place. His expression soured as he was contemplating what to do.
Seeing Thanatos's state Cerbi leaned over and rubbed his head on Thanatos. It was clear that it was trying it's best to calm down Thanatos. Throughout Cerbi's long life, it has never seen Thanatos so worried.
The last time was only when he took him in. Though was kind of worry was different in nature but worry was still worry.
Thanatos looked away from Cerbi's eyes and said "Ok, I will talk to him first" He said gently as he stroke in between Cerbi's eyes.
Cerbi wagged it's tail in contentment as it felt Thanatos's loving caress. The two enjoyed their peace and quiet until a soft groan was heard.
"Urggg, my headddd. Urggggh it feels like my head became mush or something." Marco groaned as he sat up.
Before he could do anything Thanatos's voice resounded. "Are you the enemy of the world Marco?" He asked extremely seriously, his face so serious that it darkened with his hair being slowly enveloped in power.
