It took Cades just about a quarter minute or sixteen seconds to arrive there, covering over two thousand feet while propulsing himself due to his subconscious use of mana while it was spread around all around him.
He was still stuck in a kind of equilibrium, a prison of his own thoughts as he began to analyse the subconscious utilization, but as he did the subconscious propulsion stopped once he was about halfway, resulting in the rest taking a bit longer till he stopped thinking about it once more and started to worry about Manug, something that was quite fresh to him, worrying about others.
As Cades quickly moved forward, passing the eerily peaceful and lush forest as if there was no danger in the world he began to think once more, this time about the fact that he had begun to call the archer as Manug, even in his own mind.
Perhaps it was just because this was a moment of clarity, one that was perhaps destined to happen quite often now that he could read the intentions of others with such great proficiency, but he felt as if he had never really called Manug as Manug in his mind as much as he had done in this entire debacle that the two were stuck in, perhaps, Cades thought, he was warming up to him, especially after Manug saved his life when he was stuck with that mage, after all, Manug could've probably just tried flying away.
Of course he couldn't, but to Cades that didn't really matter, from what he saw Manug could've just flown indefinitely back then, perhaps only being weighed down by Cades himself in the end, something he had felt quite responsible for.
And perhaps it was now time to fulfill that guilty promise that he had silently made to himself back when he was dangling in the air, only held up by the thin and seemingly weak arm of Manug, he would show his gratitude for that save, and in this case he would just have to pay him back in the perfect way.
Manug had saved him from that diagram obsessed mage and caused him to be able to figure out how to break the sickness, by the simple fact that he had been alive, then he would just have to fry his affected parts, something that would perhaps be quite... weird... and kill the mage while he was still recovering.
Hopefully Manug was still alive.

He had gained a level, no a though-process that was incredibly fast paced, he had thought all of this before even really seeing them, well, before he really saw them with his eyes, he could still hear them, feel the mages intent that was so strong it spread everywhere, the intent that was like a blurry curtain that had hindered his perception of the other puppet-commanders quite a bit.
And finally, he had arrived, and with one last leap, ascending high into the air he began to take the entirety of the horrible situation in, the situation in which Manug had been fighting in for quite some time, though in truth only about a quarter hour had passed, not so much of an endless tirade, but to those that had to spent every single second of those 900 seconds fighting for their lives, thinking in an absolute state where they couldn't afford to do anything, it was almost as if someone held a 'plank', a kind of special training regime famous for the fact that even a single minute of holding it seems like an eternity, for over 15 minutes.
But now it was almost over, the capricious situation that had been held will now, soon, be over.
The two were standing opposite each other, on the ground, perhaps already having given up on flying high above out of a, to him, unknown reason, other than that the surrounding was still littered with moving apparitions and flames, ice, small quake proofs, and all kinds of other remains of magic.
He could feel countless types of mana all round the place, and countless varying types of intent, perhaps truly proving that she was using the intent and the mana that was already within this realm itself and simply leading it to do something, almost the same as with the hunchback but to his own dismay not taking that mana into her body, so she wouldn't be poisoned and killed as easily.
Manug was covered in gashes, slight flame burning in his hair that for some reason still refused to vanish, perhaps because of his beauty-type constant, on the other hand his whole body seemed to refuse to gush out blood as well, it was as if the beauty to that constant was that he wouldn't be besmirched by anything, including the bodies own blood, perhaps the only reason he had managed to hold out this long, especially in a situation where he had been completely unable to even scratch the mage who was only still standing there, perhaps already having been healed, because it was in a sentient beings nature, especially one of this rank, or the higher one that she likely held before this, to not give up on weaker prey that easily.
Now, if Manug was truly weaker than the mage, that really depended on how one decided that, in most ways she was indeed incomparably stronger, especially now, but overall he was still capable of holding her back, so perhaps versatility had won over everything else.
Not that that mattered much anymore, as Cades leaped right in front of the heavily breathing Manug and sent a current of lightning through his body, the weakest that he could really muster in this current state, causing him to twitch all over and start to hurl up, ending up with falling over, his face landing in the dirt but somehow still not being besmirched in any way.
Truly, the ability that many a warrior would call useless was much stronger than one might imagine, if that was truly the reason after all.
After Manug had fallen however, Cades slowly turned around at the seemingly invincible mage, at least he had once viewed the puppet as such, who had not moved an inch since he arrived, perhaps preparing, perhaps readying herself to attack, or perhaps praying, sending the news to whatever sickness, or being it was that was controlling them.
Not that it really mattered as Cades had long since decided to not let her have the time to truly prepare and already leaped towards the monster, sword in hand, ready to cut her apart with a kind of devilish smile on his face.
