Maple looked at me scared, shaking her head while denying I was the person she remembered. I was hesitating, not understanding what she was talking about like I was an unknown person to her. My sword was still on the face of the soldier.
"What do you mean, I am here!" I answered, still looking at her.
"N-no! You smell and look like him, but you are not him!" She said, starting to cry out of fear.
Fear?
It was like a fog suddenly lifted from my mind, something was clogging my thoughts and suddenly was gone. Maple was crying. I made her, I felt guilty, mad at myself that I made her feel like that. I finally saw her again and made her feel sad and afraid. We only knew each other for a few days, but how was I capable of causing harm to an innocent soul like hers?
