"Ya seemed real moved by her story, huh? I didn't think ya'd go so soft over her teary tale!" Ragna said as they walked past.
"Total nonsense!" Arin smirked, "Most of her story was a lie."
"What?!" Ragna exclaimed in shock, "Why'd ya let her walk free then, huh?"
Arin responded calmly, "She told us she was sent by Agron to stop us from joining the tournament, right?
Now, who do you think had the knowledge that Agron was interested in us competing?"
"All the people who were at the dinner table," Ragna replied.
"Exactly. So there's a fifty-fifty chance she could have been sent by Elias or another Paladin of Light as well, right?" Arin questioned.
"Hmm," Ragna nodded thoughtfully.
"Now, tell me—what would happen if she had been sent by the Paladins?
If the spy they sent disappeared without a trace or, worse, her body was discovered?
They wouldn't be able to accuse us directly, but they would certainly raise a crusade against us.
