A flight attendant appeared beside her seat, almost as if summoned by her thoughts. She was graceful and polite, her uniform crisp and pressed. Silver looked up at her with tired eyes.
"Hi... um, how long have we been flying?" she asked.
The flight attendant smiled. "We've been in the air for approximately six hours, Miss Moe."
Silver blinked. "Six hours? That's more than halfway, right?"
"Yes, we'll be arriving in Paris in about five more hours."
"Wow. Okay, then," Silver said, yawning. "Is there anything to eat? I'm starving."
The flight attendant nodded. "Absolutely. We have a full menu prepared. Would you prefer something light or a full meal?"
"Something light, maybe something with fruit or pastries. And tea, please."
"Of course," the attendant replied, giving a slight bow before walking away.
Just as the attendant left, Silver felt a slight shift beside her. Lorenzo.
