Within the meeting room, at the table, Keelion's council which included Alexis's father, Mr. Ruderth, and Althea's father, seated around him.
None of them held a good look on their faces, but Ruderth especially appeared as though a man who was mourning his loving wife.
"People are talking, Alpha," One of the council members spoke, a middle-aged man, Zekial. "It is on the news everywhere, headlines. And there are even reporters outside at the mansion."
"And?" Keelion met his eyes from where he was seated at the head chair. His face looked pale and nothing better could be said for his hair that was starting to grow some length. He looked as though he didn't care at all—as if he'd lost everything in the world.
Everyone looked at him with confusion in their eyes.
"Alpha, you can't…dismiss Althea sofor. The lack of a potential luna has already put everyone in distress. And not to mention…." the man went silent, feeling that he needn't say more.
