"Meeooww" (wake up)
"Mmm not yet" I say groggily
"Meeeeoowwww" (you made me promise to wake you up)
"I know, but just a little longer" I say annoyed and roll over
"Meow" (fine)
"Mmhmm" I say falling back asleep
PAAAH- a paw smacks the side of my head. I look up in disbelief while Selene is looking back proudly. I'm wide awake now, I take out my wand. "Tempus" {6:00 am} alright time for the morning routine. I head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face, after that it's time for a work out. I change into my workout clothes and go outside to find a place to work out.
I found a good place next to the Great Lake. It's a brisk morning. Perfect for a workout and the fresh air next to the lake is nice. After I workout up a sweat I head back inside to shower. Once I finish showering it's already 7:30. I put on my robes and head to the common room. I find Terry and Anthony standing there sleepily.
"Hey guys, I'm Aeryz." I introduce myself
"We know who you are. Nice to meet you I'm Anthony and this is Terry" Anthony replies and Terry nods
"Do you guys want to get breakfast together" I ask
"Sure I'm starving" Terry says still half asleep
"So what do you think the best class is? I think potions will be the best undoubtedly." Anthony declares confidently
I just look at him with pity. "Bless your heart, child."
"Huh" He says confused
"Nothing, I think charms will be the best class. Our head of house Professor Flitwick teaches that class" I finish
"Defense against the dark arts 100%" Terry says finally acting awake. I sigh with sadness as I realize these two boys' hopes and dreams will be crushed. I shake my head as we enter the great hall and sit down to have breakfast
"So boys, what are your plans for today?" I ask as I take a bite of some toast.
"We were going to stay in the common room. Play some games of exploding snaps, Wizards chess, and maybe read a few books from the library." Terry says
"Do you have something planned?" Anthony asks
"I was going to learn my way around the castle. Find where the classrooms are and the library, do you guys want to come?" I ask
"Nah just guide me tomorrow to classes, I'll learn it faster that way." Terry says stretching lazily and Anthony besides him just gives me an helpless look
"Sure thing" I say dryly as I finish my food. I get up bid farewell and go to look around my new home
First thing on my list is to get help to find out where to start. Otherwise I will just be lost. I know where the classrooms are kind of from the descriptions in the book, but this is different and real. I need help with this. As i'm thinking about this i spot an older student hes got light brown hair and bright grey eyes and looks like Robert Pat - OMG is this Cedric? He will definitely help hell yeah. I walk straight up to the lad.
"Hi, Im Aeryz i was hoping you could help me with something senior?" i ask
"I know who you are. You're Merlin's descendent. You are famous already in this school, I'm sure your name will be on the front page of the Daily Prophet by tomorrow. What can I help you with?" He says with a smile.
"Well I want to get familiar with the school as it's huge and I don't want to get lost and be late for my first class tomorrow. I was hoping you could tell me where to start or give directions." I say looking at him expectantly.
He nods in understanding then reaches into his bag. He pulls out a parchment and his wand then uses the duplication charm on the parchment and hands it to me.
"This is a map I made in my first year. It should help you find your way. I gave it to some of the first years in my house. Itll last for 3 days before the charm ends and it vanishes." he says
I thank the man and get moving. I only need this map for a day anyway with my memory. I start with going outside to herbology. When I arrive I'm in a bit of awe as the green house is pretty impressive. It's a square-shaped room, with some tables for students and a Venomous Tentacula in one of the corners. A door connected it to the vine vicinity.
I decided to see the Qudditch Pitch. The stands surrounding the pitch were decorated differently for each Quidditch match at Hogwarts. Every second stand would be decorated with the colors of one team, and every other stand with the colors of the opposing team. Spectators would sit in between these stands.
After that it's on to the DADA classroom which I just pass by not wanting to stop and look. I don't really feel like talking to Quirrelmort alone.
Next was transfiguration and potions. The transfiguration classroom was a large room located on the ground floor of Hogwarts, near the Middle Courtyard, with high windows, multiple rows of student desks, cages for animals, bookshelves, two chalkboards, and a teacher's desk at the front, primarily used for practicing the complex magic of changing the form of objects.
Next I headed down to potions. The classroom was located in the dungeons. It was large enough to allow at least twenty students to work and its walls were lined with pickled animals in glass jars. In one corner of the room stood a basin into which ice-cold water poured from a gargoyle's mouth, while in another was a student supply cupboard. There was also a blackboard where Snape could write the class's instructions. I decided I didn't want to dwell too long down here and started to leave.
On my way out of the dungeons a Slytherin girl bumped into me and fell down and another was next to her. I crouch down to help her up.
"I'm sorry I was in a rush leaving the dungeons. Are you okay?" I say helping her up and apologizing to the cute brown haired girl I just knocked over.
"I'm fine it's my fault I wasn't looking where I was -" her eyes widened in surprise "You're Ambrosius!" she yelps.
I laugh "you can call me Aeryz, and you are?"
"Tracey Davis" she says i look at the beautiful cold looking next to her.
"I'm Daphne Grengass, Heir to Most Ancient and Noble Greengass." She says curtly
"Nice to meet you, Miss Davis, Heir Greengass. I would love to stay and chat with two beautiful ladies but. I have more castle to explore before tomorrow maybe we can get to know each other another time maybe?." I say politely with a grin.
Tracey giggles and says " We would love to, right Daph?" and the snow queen just nods. I wish them goodbye and continue on my journey.
Next I travel to the History classroom, a traditional, somewhat dusty room with wooden benches and desks arranged in rows, featuring walls covered in maps, charts, and glass cases displaying ancient magical artifacts, all illuminated by flickering candles. I'm prepared for this class ass i will bring books to read while professor Binns teaches, maybe earmuffs.
Next Charms class, The Charms classroom had three rows of desks, all facing the teacher's table, behind which sat a large upholstered chair with a high back. Two blackboards flanked the teacher's table, and behind them was a small shelf with books and other objects, beneath a pair of windows. I was very much looking forward to this class.
Finally the Astronomy tower, The classroom was surrounded by crenellated ramparts and iron security railings around the edge of the Tower, where students gazed at the skies with their telescopes. Astronomical models and telescopes were propped against the ramparts when the classroom was not in use. A door led into a turret and the steep spiral stairway inside leads below.
After memorizing where the classrooms are I decided against going to the ROR. Mainly because I don't need it on my first day. I will find time soon and explore what it can do. So I chose to spend the rest of the day at the library.
Once I arrived at the library I couldn't help but be impressed. The Hogwarts Library was located off of a corridor on the first-floor of Hogwarts Castle and contained tens of thousands of books on thousands of shelves. Every book, scroll, and object ever contained within the library were catalogued in the Archival History Records. There were plenty of tables for students to sit and read or study.
I found a spot in the corner and went and found a book quietly spent the rest of my day reading.
