Olivia sat in front of the grave with a tombstone that had Luke's name carved on it. She did not say a word. She was solely focused on his name carved in the stone. For some reason, instead of bawling her eyes out, she was oddly calm but blank.
After minutes of silence, she finally opened her mouth. "I'm sorry I could not attend your funeral… and I came in a rush, I forgot to bring you a flower. I'm such a bad friend, aren't I?" she chuckled, but it was so empty and devoid of emotion.
"I'm doing fine, you don't have to worry about me…" her gaze turned stern. "I promise, I'll make them pay… I won't leave any stone unturned."
Footsteps echoed from behind her. When she turned, she saw Abigail standing behind her, sweating profusely. She had a worried look on her face, but she didn't come any closer to her.
Abigail wanted to scream at her not to pull such a stunt again, but seeing how she was sitting dejectedly, she had to hold her emotions back.
