Karlene gave no chance for Roy to greet Noran and Shuri as she continued to scold Noran, pointing her index finger at him. "Are you trying to make my sister avoid me now? How dare you!"
Noran's jaw tightened, but he refrained from arguing with Karlene.
Instead, his cold gaze shifted to Roy, who was watching the scene unfold with amusement.
It was his first time seeing someone dare to scold Noran so openly. His appreciation for Karlene seemed to deepen.
"Why are you here?" Noran asked Roy in a low voice.
"Of course, I came to see your lovely fiancée," Roy replied, his tone implying, "You think you can hide her from me?"
Noran's expression darkened further. "Why do you want to see Rin?"
Roy looked at Noran as if he were behaving ridiculously. Why was his friend acting like he was here to steal his fiancée? He hadn't even introduced himself to Shuri yet, and Noran was already giving him the death stare.
