Young as he may be, Azaleas cared little for idle chatter, but it was the first time anyone had ever complimented his name. And in the time that he served under Orpheus, which was for two years, he hadn't spoken to many women.
He wasn't familiar with how he should conduct himself around them, and it was even stranger that Lady Karina decided to speak to him. Normally, any woman would have avoided him.
And when Lady Karina noticed he had no intentions of conversing with her, she wondered if there was another way she could approach him through small talk.
With a lad as young as him, it wasn't any good for him to be so aloof and detached. Young ones like him who isolated themselves too much always turned out to be dysfunctional adults.
"Are you from the Irishalan clans or highland tribesmen?" Lady Karina tried her hand at another question. "You have reddish eyes, much like the highland folk." She offered him a polite smile. "My mother was also from amongst the highland folk."
