Chapter 58 - 58.U.A Sport Festival:The ritual is done , Gashadokuro appears

Present Mic

"Damn… the creature swallowed the SkinWalker like it was nothing. There wasn't even any resistance. Who knows why, but the SkinWalker didn't even try to fight back against the Mapinguari."

The audience fell silent. What the Mapinguari did was eerie—something straight out of a horror movie.

The fact that U.A. showcased scenes like this, especially during the Sports Festival, made this autumn feel heavier, tenser. Everyone watching was wondering—what could possibly happen next?

"F***! Are we watching a horror movie or what? Why is U.A. making this autumn so terrifying? If this is what the season looks like now, then autumn is officially my least favorite."

"Man, I completely forgot we were at the U.A. Sports Festival! This is not what I expected for autumn. No one thought this season would be full of shocks and jump scares. Damn it, Nezu—hope the little kids watching this don't end up traumatized."

Meanwhile, the media was scrambling to write headlines about the U.A. Sports Festival. This autumn's event had become too intense to ignore.

"Muahahaha! I'm getting a raise for sure! With a story like this, my promotion's basically guaranteed. Thanks, Nezu, for turning this whole thing into a surreal mess!"

Izuku frowned, eyes focused on the scene. What he saw wasn't anything close to a normal event—it was a horror movie brought to life, and autumn made the setting all the more chilling.

Shaking his head in awe, Izuku muttered, "Wow, I didn't think U.A. could build such a tense atmosphere. SkinWalkers roaming around, and now there are even more monsters showing up… It's terrifying."

Da Vinci smiled, then replied, "Well, whose idea do you think it was?"

Nezu shot back sarcastically, "Yes, yes, your ideas always bring the most… *unexpected* results. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the forest goes up in flames because of that ritual of yours."

Da Vinci blinked dramatically. "*Gasp!* How did you know? You really are my rival, Nezu. If you'd been born in my time, we'd both be famous by now—legendary figures of history!"

Nezu sighed and facepalmed. "No thanks. If I lived in your time, I'd end up tied to a stake and burned for being accused of witchcraft or something. Not worth it."

"Pfft, you're absolutely right," Da Vinci chuckled, before Inko leaned in curiously.

"So… what kind of ritual did you set up this time, Davi-chan? I'm really curious."

Da Vinci nodded and handed Inko a tablet. As she looked over the information, her eyes widened.

"So… the ritual centers around that fenced-off hut? That's where everything's happening?" Inko asked. "And to trigger it, you need sacrifices? That's why the SkinWalkers are being targeted? Then if their numbers drop too low…"

Da Vinci confirmed, "Exactly. Once it hits a critical point, the ritual activates and summons the Gashadokuro—a massive skeletal monster from Japanese mythology. It absorbs fire… and releases it with explosive force."

Izuku's face paled. "Wait, so if it absorbs a fireball the size of a baseball and releases it the size of a basketball, then…"

"Imagine that power on a larger scale," Da Vinci nodded gravely.

All Might, who had been quietly analyzing the situation, finally spoke up. He'd been calculating how best to fight the Gashadokuro with his current Quirks—whether to use Fa Jin and Gear Shift, or just go full power with One For All.

"Umm… just how durable is this Gashadokuro? Does it have any weaknesses? Some kind of attack that could really damage it?"

Da Vinci nodded again. "It's ironic, but the Gashadokuro I designed isn't immune to fire. The more fire it takes, the more its bones char and weaken. If someone hits it with *blue fire*, it'll burn out fast."

All Might raised an eyebrow. "Blue fire? Is that because it's hotter? Or does it symbolize something, like the fire of purgatory?"

Da Vinci smirked. "Blue flames *do* resemble purgatory's fire, don't they? Though honestly, we still don't know what purgatory's flames are supposed to look like. Still, I like your interpretation—Dad."

All Might blinked, surprised. Even if it didn't help with the monster's weakness, Da Vinci calling him "Dad" again made his heart soften just a bit.

Autumn

The Mapinguari, now bloated from devouring so many SkinWalkers, turned and bellowed at the students near the hut.

"You naughty little children! I'll eat every last one of you once I'm done with these delicious SkinWalkers! Ha ha ha! Ah, what a feast!"

But then, a strange light began to glow from the ruins of the hut.

Students nearby froze in confusion. Something was happening—but what?

Suddenly, the Mapinguari screeched in terror and began running away.

"Stay back! Get away from me, you cursed creature! You greedy, starving soul! Blerggg—!"

Without warning, the Mapinguari vomited up a pile of bones. The bones floated in the air and were drawn toward the destroyed hut like magnets.

The students stared in disbelief. Even the monstrous Mapinguari—so powerful and fearless—was running in terror. That couldn't be a good sign.

*Rattle—Rattle*

The chilling sound of bones clinking echoed through the air. The students held their breath as they watched the ruins, bracing for what came next.

*Rattle—Rattle*

Then it rose.

A towering skeletal figure climbed from the ruins, its ribs glowing with fire. The size alone was monstrous, but the flames licking out between its ribs made it look like a demon from the underworld.

"F***, what kind of monster is that?!" one student yelled.

Another answered nervously, "I don't know, but there aren't many mythological creatures that look like that. Honestly, I wish we were just fighting skeletons in Minecraft… this thing looks way worse."

Someone else frowned. "Wait, how do you know it's a mythological creature?"

The student facepalmed. "Are you serious? We've been seeing mythological monsters since the relay run! And you still haven't figured it out?!"

"Oh… yeah. That makes sense," the other replied sheepishly. Several students nodded in agreement.

"Anyway, what's your name? I didn't catch it before. You explained it pretty well."

"Me? I'M STEVE! ,nah..just kidding , Just call me Hachi. I'm from Class 1-B."
