The Next Day—
The White Tiger Emperor gazed solemnly at the seemingly endless army a kilometer away from Jialing Pass. His expression was heavy with concern.
Though Tang San, the Asura God, stood by their side, the White Tiger Emperor still felt uneasy, having never witnessed the pinnacle of divine power.
Tang San lightly patted the White Tiger Emperor's shoulder and stepped forward, his gaze cold as he surveyed the hundreds of thousands of soldiers below.
"They're nothing but ants. If I really wanted to, I could kill them all in under 30 seconds."
A trace of killing intent leaked out unintentionally, sending a chill down the White Tiger Emperor's spine. He quickly chimed in, agreeing with Tang San's display of might.
At the center of the Holy Spirit Empire's army stood a group of soldiers clad in dazzling golden armor, each holding flags bearing the emblem of the Holy Spirit Empire.
The flag was blood-red, with the words "Holy Spirit" embroidered in gold thread. Its design was simple yet unmistakable.
"Ooo—"
A deep horn sounded, and the golden-armored soldiers seemed to receive a signal. They stomped in place, turned to face one another, and raised their banners high.
The White Tiger Emperor focused his gaze as eleven figures calmly walked forward through the passageway.
"That's—"
Though it had been years, the White Tiger Emperor immediately recognized Ye Wen at the forefront.
Soon, Ye Wen reached the front lines of the battlefield. At this moment, Ye Wen was dressed in an opulent marshal's uniform adorned with intricate golden embroidery.
It was then that Tang San and Ye Wen's gazes met.
Tang San naturally hadn't forgotten Ye Wen, and a strange tension began to build within him.
In contrast to Tang San's slight unease, Ye Wen exuded an air of complete relaxation in every movement.
Though the White Tiger Emperor was not the main decision-maker of Jialing Pass at this moment, Ye Wen still turned to him and said,
"White Tiger Emperor, this is your final warning—surrender, or die."
Seeing the once-respectful youth now speaking so arrogantly, though Ye Wen showed no outward disdain, the White Tiger Emperor felt deeply humiliated.
Before the White Tiger Emperor could respond, Tang San raised a hand to stop him.
"Ye—" Tang San instinctively wanted to address Ye Wen as "Principal," but realizing the inappropriateness of the title in this setting, he paused to gather his thoughts before continuing.
"Marshal Ye, it's you who should surrender. I know you were forced to obey the Spirit Hall. But now that I've become a god, you no longer need to fear their retaliation.
If you submit to me, the status of your Tian Xing Academy will remain unchanged."
Ye Wen's expression turned somewhat peculiar. Had the Asura God not informed Tang San of his identity?
Far away in the god realm, the gods, who rarely gathered together, were now watching the events on Douluo Continent with amusement.
Though there were hundreds of subordinate worlds under the god realm and wars occurred daily, it was rare to see a clash between divine inheritors—a truly entertaining spectacle.
The Sea God leaned over to the Asura God, his tone teasing.
"Asura, why does your inheritor seem so foolish? He doesn't even recognize my inheritor."
The Asura God's face darkened, and he irritably shoved Poseidon away.
He admitted that he had rushed Tang San's growth, which left some aspects of his overall abilities lacking.
Moreover, because the forces of the Hao Tian Sect he had prepared for Tang San nearly collapsed entirely, Tang San had been hastily summoned to assist. In the rush, some intelligence hadn't been fully relayed to Tang San—but that didn't mean Poseidon could mock him freely.
Seeing the Asura God ignore him, Poseidon shrugged and glanced around at the other gods.
"Huh!?" Poseidon suddenly let out a surprised sound, drawing everyone's attention.
The Destruction God King asked indifferently, "What is it, Poseidon?"
Poseidon scratched his head and asked, "Where's that crazy woman, Rakshasa?"
Only then did the others realize that one of their usual companions was missing. Murmurs broke out among the gods.
In the god realm, each deity belonged to a faction. The Rakshasa Goddess had originally been part of the Destruction God King's faction, so all eyes turned to him, seeking an explanation. After all, no one wanted to vanish without a trace.
The recent incident involving the Angel God was still shrouded in mystery.
If not for Poseidon still holding the inheritance of the Angel God position and claiming the Angel God would return, they would have assumed their old friend was completely gone.
At this moment, the Destroyer God King's calm voice explained,
"The Rakshasa Goddess has found her inheritor and fully passed on her divinity, so she simply left. I only discovered this recently."
The gods nodded in understanding, followed by a wave of envy.
After becoming a god, one couldn't leave the domain governed by the god realm—essentially trading a small prison (a planet) for a larger one. Aside from the initial novelty, the rest was an endless stretch of monotony, with nothing to do but cultivate. And since they couldn't interfere with the mortal world freely, it became even more tedious.
Thus, the gods envied those who could escape their divine positions and roam freely through the vast universe.
Well, there were two other enviable figures present—they too had found their inheritors and would soon be leaving.
The Asura God frowned in displeasure. He had wanted to leave first and wait outside to settle old scores with the Rakshasa Goddess. He hadn't expected that wretched woman to sneak away silently.
Out of frustration, the Asura God angrily berated the Rakshasa Goddess.
"Lawless wretch! You have no sense of responsibility. At least finish your duties before leaving!"
"Yes, yes! That crazy woman, the Rakshasa Goddess, has gone too far. She's completely disregarded the rules of the god realm!"
Poseidon chimed in with his complaints, but the amused smile on his lips revealed he didn't take the matter seriously.
Poseidon himself could have left long ago, but he enjoyed staying behind to watch the envious expressions of those gods who couldn't leave.
It truly never got old.
At this moment, the Destruction God King interrupted the commotion.
"Enough. Let's just watch the show. The Rakshasa Goddess isn't an important deity anyway—her departure doesn't matter.
However, if any of you don't want me to hunt you down for undesirable reasons later, I suggest you follow the rules."
With the current top dog of the god realm having spoken, how could these lesser gods dare disobey? They all nodded in agreement.
Among the five strongest god kings in the god realm, the Life and Destruction God King were the most senior—and they were also a couple, giving them the greatest authority in the god realm.
As for the former leaders, the Good and Evil God Kings, they had long since passed on their divine positions.
Their successors were a young man from a magical planet and a top-tier native lifeform of that planet.
Unlike the stingy Asura God, their predecessors had nurtured them to the level of god kings before handing over their responsibilities.
As for the former Good and Evil God Kings, they had descended to a lower world to experience reincarnation and alternate lifetimes, yearning for the beauty of love through endless cycles of rebirth.
Back to the Battlefield—
Ye Wen calmly responded to Tang San.
"No one has threatened me, little Tang San."
