After a few minutes, the guard rushed back out. He opened the gate for Aric and allowed them in. "The baron is waiting just beyond the door," he spoke in a respectful tone.
Aric and the others headed to the door, and when they were halfway through, he stopped, his head facing forward, and then he spoke. "When we get in there, no matter what happens, make sure you listen to me," he said and kept walking.
They got to the door and it was immediately opened from the inside. The baron stood there with a smile on his face, waiting to welcome Aric.
"Sir Aric, it's good to see you in my village. I didn't expect you to come so soon," the baron said. He smiled, seemingly happy that Aric was here.
Aric gave a small smirk. He walked up to the baron, passing the maids and guards that stood at the side. He shook the baron's hand and then spoke.
"Let's get to business already, I have little time to be here," Aric said in a calm voice.
